Don't get your hopes up

She didn’t have time to think too much about it as she reached out and pushed the door open  walking in she stood near the door .

She saw a man  who should be around 25 years of age he was decent looking. Was there a mistake this wasn’t the man Omar described. Maybe she entered the wrong office but the HR sign on the door said different. He was sitting behind the desk

"Good day sir " Lola said unsure how to approach the matter at hand

"Good day to you too have a sit I don’t bite" The man said jokingly.

"Thank you "Lola said before sitting down facing him

"My name is Lola Damien I’m the new maid hired to work at the young master’s villa I want to apply for a loan"

"I’m Aaron Hudson I’m in charge of the staff welfare  temporarily well you just started working isn’t it too early to apply for a loan" Aaron said while staring at her seriously his joking aura long replaced by a professional air. Who on earth comes for a loan just a week after starting a job? Well in this case a desperate person 

"I  know it’s too early but I totally need that loan urgently it’s very important that I get this loan" Lola said trying to convince the man even though she wasn't even convinced.

"Well, Miss Lola we all need money if not I won’t be sitting behind this desk "Aaron Said seriously

"I  know but it is really important" Lola pleaded 

"Well, firstly I need o take a look at your contract give me a minute"Aaron said before picking up the deskphone  and placing a call to the human resource  file storage department requesting for her newly signed contract 

"It will soon be here" He told Lola 

Some minutes later a knock was heard on the door 

"Come in" Aaron called out to the person on the other side 

"A young lady came in 

      "This is the contract you called for " she said while handing it over to him

"You may leave" he said after collecting the contract 

The woman left Lola watched as he read through the contract 

  looking up he asked  "How much loan do you want to apply for?" 

" 155,000"Lola replied while wringing her hands this man looked friendly but turned serious once it was about business. The rate at which things was going she wasn't sure he would even agree

Aaron frowned lightly "The contract states that you are to work for three months only  The total salary is  162,000

and you are asking for a loan of 150,000 when do you intend to pay back "

"Actually I wanted to say that it could be removed from the three months salary with the interest. I don't need to get paid anymore you can just deduct it directly  "

"Well  what you are asking for is hard. And to be honest I wouldn't approve this on a normal day, but I'll see if i can help you submit your request to the Young master don't get your hopes up it's only a possibility of  1 out of 100" Aaron said "I'll get back to you in three days time to tell you his decision"

"Thank you soo much. " Lola replied not caring if the chance was 10 in 10,000.

"As I said don't get your hopes up. I'll call you to inform you on any development. That will be all" he said

"  Bye  and thank you once again"Lola said 

Immediately Lola left he called someone to make a loan agreement just in case. It was crazy that he even believed Hayden would consider this.

Lola talked to Lily for sometime before taking the elevator.  There were three people in the elevator when Lola stepped in . All of them  were headed to the down floor. Lola leaned on the wall while thinking about the loan she knew it was unreasonable to  rely on the chance she might get the loan but she kept leaning towards that last thread of hope. 

    It had to work. The  elevator stopped on the fifth floor probably to pick someone Lola thought.  when the door open four men dressed in black like bodyguards evacuated them. Lola was surprised at how everyonescurried away and she followed standing by the side as she waited for the next elevator. Lola saw the profile of the man in the middle he looked like the man in the picture she saw in the Young master study. Lola shook off the thought concluding that she was seeing things afterall she was not sure the man in the picture was the Young master  to begin with and it could just be the lights.

When Lola reached their flat she knocked on the door “ I'll get it”  Andrey voice came from within. He came to open the door he was wearing a  plain shirt and trouser. Lola looked at Audrey comparing him with Omar in her head which was crazy.  He had black eyes  his head was dyed  red . 

"Hey little girl" Andrey said hugging her

"Hi big bro" Lola said hugging him back 

Both of them walked in when Andrey closed the door. Selena came out of the kitchen to welcome her

“Oh now I wish I am the one working as the maid you’ve grown fatter” Selena said laughing

“Ha as lazy as you are I won’t be surprised if you quit after three days of working” Audrey chipped in teasing her

“He he….. So you are on her side now I thought you were mad at her for not contacting you all this while” Selena replied

“About that Audrey you know I would have contacted you but I’ve been busy please don’t be mad at me” Lola said giving him her cutest puppy face

“I’m not mad little girl” Audrey said rubbing her hair making Lola swat his hand

“Lola come help me in the kitchen” Selena called out from the kitchen 

“I’m going to mom’s room to see her I’ll help you later” Lola said quickly too quickly as she headed for her mom's room

“Just say that you are trying to avoid cooking” Audrey said as he smirked at her

“Mind your business wise ass” Lola said while walking quickly into  the corridior

She knocked lightly on the door before opening the door slowly

Lola checked the time she should have taken her medication and should be asleep by now. When she entered the room her mom was already on the bed sleeping. She walked quietly to the edge of the bed and gazed at her mom. She thought back to her conversation with Aaron and what he said about her chances of receiving the loan. She sighed lightly taking her mother’s hand and rubbing it. Thinking of what she should do.

Selene was already shiffling 3 jobs. Audrey and Felix had tried giving her and Selena the money for the surgery for free but they refused. They owed their family enough money. She and Selena were sick and tired of depending on their family for. But she knew deep down within her that if she couldn't secure the loan she and Selena would have to accept their money. After all their mom's health was far more important than their pride
