Chapter 27: Stamina

I yawned as I carried my coffee. Adams and I appear to have moved too much last night, and we didn't stop until we had exhausted our body heat. I placed my coffee cup next to the keyboard and massaged the end of my arm. A man approached me whose table is at the end of my row as I was doing this. I was shocked to meet him because I had never talked to him before. He also didn't spend much time with Kathryn.

“Miss Afar, you look exhausted?” He took a step closer to me, so I stopped rotating my arm and was ready to turn around when he grasped both of my shoulders and massaged me. Surprisingly, I did not respond right away. The fact that I didn't feel any electricity in my body stunned me the most.
