Chapter 9

"Please.... don't hurt me." I said the first thing I thought was right to say.

She scoffed. "You are in my clinic with a drip connected to your body. Does that look like I want to hurt you?"

I look down.

"Jeez" she murmured as she jotted down.

I held the hem of my shirt nervously.

I try hard to calm myself.

"That's your meal next to you" she said as she get on her feet.

I look the direction and I see a plate covered with a foil.

"Eat everything. Your stomach is empty and that's bad for medication. I will check in later" she said walking out.

I remained still for a while.

My taste buds danced and my stomach begged to be fed.

I reach for the plate and bring it towards me.

Opening it, my eyes widened to the sight.

It's spaghetti and meatballs.

My favourite.

My stomach rumbled in excitement.

I feel as if I have eaten in a very long time.

I dug in.

I ate and ate non stop.

The meal is very delicious.

Done eating, I kept the plate back.

I need water. I can't see one anywhere.

But I am gratef
