Jessie picked up her purse instantly and searched for her phone. When she found it, she wasn't thinking straight. She dialled Taylor's number and in one ring, Taylor's voice was heard over the phone.
With concern, she asked. "What is wrong, Jessie?"
Jessie's trembling voice spoke. "He left Taylor. He left just like that." She continued to cry over the phone.
Taylor had taken the hint that the date didn't go well. "Calm down Jessica. Wait for me there. I am on my way." She hung up the phone and laid it on the table. She felt numb. Her eyes were inactive. They were fixed on the floor. The perfect woman was gone. All that was left was a pitiful person who was trying to take in what just happened.
"Jessica!" She heard Taylor's voice as Taylor ran to her. Jessie felt as if she was going to die when she looked at her friend running to her.
"Taylor," She called with her shaky voice as the tears continued to climb down her face.
Taylor ran her arms around her. "You are fine. I am here." She released Jessie and looked at her face. Mucus already stained Taylor's outfit. "Ugh, babe, now you have ruined your makeup and my dress." She began to laugh and so did Jessie. Taylor took a chair and sat next to her. She picked Jessie's hands into hers. "What exactly happened?" she asked. She released Jessie's hands when she saw more mucus around her nose. She picked up the tissue from her bag and handed it over to Jessie.
Jessie sniffed as she measured the amount she needed. She used it to clean her nose and glanced back at Taylor who was seated in front of her.
"Take your time hun," Taylor said. Jessie wanted to cry again but kept it in. "You can let it out, Jessica. Gosh! You don't have to be perfect in front of me. Okay? It is okay to cry when you feel sad."
Jessie nodded. "I told him everything but he blamed you and didn't want that. I didn't know he had that anger within him. He was really angry, Taylor. You should have seen it yourself."
Taylor sighed. "I told you he wasn't the one if he doesn't support you."
"Eight years are gone just like that."
Taylor felt sad for her friend. She stood to her feet and helped Jessie up. "I know what will cheer you up. Let's get you home first."

"Good morning my love." A female hand lifted the covers as she searched the bed for her beloved. She withdrew the cloth from her face when she felt he wasn't there.
The lady could see him knotting his tie in front of the mirror. She crawled back beneath the covers. "I see you're all dressed and ready to go to work." Under the blanket, her exhausted voice murmured.
Din Cooper approached the lady. He ascended the bed and leaned against her, removing the cover off her face slowly. As she stared into his ocean blue eyes, she whimpered once again. She gave a warm smile. "Mrs. Cooper, you are stunning." He kissed her softly on the lips.
When he called her that, Beth was ecstatic. "Mrs. Cooper, uh?" she asked as she kissed him back. "I love the sound of that."
Din grinned. "It will be yours in no time." He rose from his seat, but she dragged him back to her.
"Are you required to leave today?" She inquired. "How about spending the whole day with me?" She proposed.
As he sat on the bed, Din sighed. Beth sat up straight and fixed her gaze on him. "Beth, I'm really busy. I need to meet with the client and give Khalid the manuals. You know how Granddad is, after all." He massaged her cheek with his hand on her face. Her face lay on his hand.
"He doesn't care for me." She stated her case.
"That isn't correct. He likes you, but he isn't always willing to demonstrate his feelings."
"Babe, he looks at me with disgust." Beth sighed and rolled her eyes. She helped him adjust his tie. "In any case, make sure you get home early." "I've prepared a pleasant surprise for you."
Din's expression brightened. "A surprise?" He asked. "Can you tell me what that is?"
Beth laughed and shook her head slowly. "That's why it's termed a surprise. Silly" She gave a kind smile. "Come here." Din took a step ahead. She hugged him and wrapped her arms around him. He drew her closer to him. She inhaled the air around them before releasing him. "Do your best. I have a feeling today will be a fantastic day for you. I can already sense it!" Din had a smile on his face since she couldn't stop smiling.
He was delighted when he saw Beth grin. His granddad might spoil his chances with her.
Din is baffled as to why his grandfather dislikes Beth. She is both courteous and attractive. She is well-dressed and a wonderful person. He even wonders about the planet she comes from on occasion. If you had questioned him, he would have said it wasn't from the earth.
"All well, then. Make sure you're having a good time as well. Take a look at this." He took out his credit card and handed it to her. "It's only for shopping."
She turned down the card. "But, I still have money on me. I haven't finished the one you sent me the last time."
"Take it, Babe, you're a princess, you should be treated as such." He took the credit card and placed it in her palm. He rose from the bed and laid a kiss on her lips. "Make sure you have fun. Daddy will be back soon." She waved at him, and he returned the wave.
Din exited the room with his business luggage and automobile keys.
As she fiddled with the credit card, Beth smiled. How did she end up with such a good and attractive man? She had questioned herself.
Din stepped out of his car, carried his briefcase, and walked to the front door after parking his car in the garage.
His workers greeted him as he walked into the building.
He'd spent his entire teenage years learning how to create cars and learning how to be successful just as his grandfather was. At first, he was scared to learn how a car works because it was the same car that made his parents die and whenever he thought about that night, it reminded him of the pain.
He was just fourteen when the accident happened.
Din remembered what had happened the night the accident took place. His grandfather had argued with his father. He doesn't know what they argued about but he could see how angry his father was when he took his mother's hand and left for the car.
His father had held him along but Din couldn't question where they were going at that time of the night. All he had to do was obey.
His father had driven onto the road in anger and his eyes weren't focused on the road. Before they knew it, a truck approached at a fast pace and hit the side of the car. His father had lost control of the break and the car went into the free narrow road. He'd struggled to stop the car from moving but he couldn't and if he removed his eyes from the road, the car might go in another direction which he was avoiding.
Din was shaking as he held his seat belt tightly. His mother was trying to tell him that everything was going to be fine but in his mind, he knew nothing was going to be fine.
A loud thud was heard. Din was tempted to look at what had happened and it was the truck. There was fire coming in its direction. It looked as if it was slammed into a big huge stone.
"Din!" his father yelled as Din turned to focus. His hand was still holding onto the seatbelt. "I want you to do something for me."
"Okay?" his shaky voice replied.
"Don't be scared. Just close your eyes as you do what I am about to tell you to do." His father held his mother's hand tightly. Din could see how tight their hands were as tears rolled down his cheeks. He got the message. They were all going to die. "Unbuckle your seatbelt, slowly open the door and jump out." his father explained.
"What? I -- I can't do that." he stuttered. His heart was beating fast. Faster than normal.
"You have to. You have to survive first. Okay? Now do as you are instructed!" his father yelled. He knew he couldn't hold the car any longer and if his son didn't come out fast then the three of them would all die. He won’t be able to forgive himself if anything happens to his son. His son was innocent in all this.
Three months later…"Come home early today. I have something to tell you.""Really?" Din asked. They were both standing at the doorway. She was seeing him off as he prepared to leave for work. Din was prepared to sue Beth when the babies arrived three months ago, but Jessie dissuaded him. She claimed that she could have handled things worse if she had been the one, but Din asked for legal action not because of the video she sent but rather because of the money she stole from him. "She cheated me, Jessie. For this reason, I intended to sue her. I need her to pay the money back." He had said to Jessie so she would understand that this isn't about letting Beth go. "Din, you used to love her. You should let it go. She is already paying for what she has done to you." While gazing at her, Din sighed. He said, "Do you know how beautiful you are?" and she grinned. "You are really beautiful, Jessie." He kissed her on the lips. "Alright. Tonight I will see you, okay? This coming weekend, we
The month of March had just begun. The impending arrival of her children and Din's proposal on Valentine's Day made Jessie very happy. She'd been preparing her mind about having a fancy white wedding after a few months of childbirth. Din was a sweet man, and she couldn't stop loving him. They had also moved past their past, and they had been content ever since. "Do you like this yellow dress on me?" Din heard Jessie say as she turned to face him. She was getting ready for a Saturday picnic with the girls while he was on the bed working on his laptop. They would prefer to go on a picnic before she gives birth because they are aware that once motherhood begins, Jessie won't have the time to spend time with them. Din nodded. "You look good in everything." "I do." When Jessie got close to him, she kissed him on the lips. "I'm leaving right away. The girls will be furious if I come a little too late." "Alright. Have a nice day, my love." Din observed Jessie reaching for the door, but
"Din." "Jessie, are you okay?" Din properly set her down. "Are you hurt?" Jessie shook her head. "I am fine. Thank you," she said. Awkwardly, they both exchanged glances. Din wanted to scream his apology and beg for pardon, but he was interrupted. "You two are here together. That is really odd." When Sierra saw the two of them together, she said. "I was on my way to get you two downstairs. The New Year is quickly approaching, and it won't be enjoyable without the entire family present." She took both of their hands, and they all descended the stairs. Looking at the entire family, Jessie felt a strange sensation in her body. It's been days since she last saw them. Cedric didn't seem angry; in fact, he approached her smiling. "Are you two okay?" He asked. "We are fine, granddad." Din said. "Yes. We are. I asked Din to leave the room for a few days because I was dealing with so much with the babies and I didn't want to hurt him." She quickly laughed. "Hormones are to blame," "Real
In the blink of an eye, morning arrived. It arrived as quickly as a moving train. Din opened his eyes with a groan. Turning to his side, he looked out the window. He could also hear the chirping of birds and see the falling snowflakes and snow. Christmas day had just begun. He sat up and got out of bed. He didn't get to sleep in his own bed for the first time in a few weeks. In contrast, sleeping in the guest room was the worst experience ever. Din didn't get a lot of rest. He spent the entire night thinking about Jessie. He stretched his back and walked into the bathroom. There were extra fresh brush sets and a few plain tees in every room of the mansion. Din put on a plain t-shirt that he had taken. He wore the same pants he had on the previous day. Now that Jessie didn't even want to see him, there was no possible way for him to return to his room. He realizes that there is no way for him to proceed to the breakfast table. Jessie would be furious at him and would want to yell, a
Din was sobbing quietly while his head was resting on the door. Beth won't get away with this. He would track her down and hold her accountable for her actions. The outcome he didn't want has now materialized. Jessie despises him and doesn't want to see him again. He sighed, and just as he turned to walk away, he heard footsteps approaching. "Are you okay?" Din swiveled around to face James. Din had sobbed, and James could tell by the dejected expression on his face. "What is going on with you? Is it Jessie?" "I don't want to talk about it, James." Din turned and strode off. He opened the door to their floor's guest room, went inside, and shut the door behind him. There was no chance he could save this relationship at this point. Jessie is gone now. The rest of the family wondered why none of them appeared at the dinner table that evening. "This has never happened before." Cedric said. He turned to face Sierra. "Are they okay? Should we call the doctor? This is Christmas Eve. The r
"Is something wrong?" Din's gloominess caught Cedriec's attention. Ever since he informed him that Jessie was exhausted and had gone to her room, he had seemed unhappy. Din sighed. "I'm fine, granddad." On the sofa, he took a seat. Without Jessie, there was no chance for the game to succeed. When he saw Bev approaching, he stopped her. Din got up and led Bev over to the corner. "Tell me, is Jessie all right?" In all honesty, he had anticipated that she would scream or jerk her hand away, but Bev did neither. She behaved nicely. She nodded. "She looks fine to me. She is just asleep." "Thank God." Din breathed out. "Thank you for this information. I will check up on her myself when she is awake." Following a warm smile, Bev walked away. Din returned to the tree, and the contest started. With what Bev had said, he was happy. Just that alone gave him peace of mind that Jessie was doing well. Din assumed control of the situation and was requested to sing. He was initially hesitant, bu
