Mrs. Stones sat elegantly on the couch, one leg crossed over the other as she scrolled through her phone. A photo suddenly caught her attention — Jason Anderson and Alexa Leonard were trending everywhere.

“Jason Anderson and Alexa Leonard to be engaged in one week.”

Her lips slowly curved into a sinister smirk. She opened the comment section.

“Isn’t this strange?”

“It’s definitely business-related.”

“Maybe Alexa proposed — who can resist Jason?”

“Or they’re hiding something.”

“Do they even love each other? It’s so sudden.”

“Maybe it’s arranged.”

Mrs. Stones chuckled quietly.

“Absurd,” she muttered. “Looks like it’s the right time to pay Suzan and Jessica a visit. They need to remember who they’re dealing with.”

Her grin widened — cruel, confident, and dangerous.

SYDNEY’S POV

“What the hell?!” I screamed as I stared at the posts plastered all over the internet.

Marriage.

Jason Anderson… marrying someone else.

I hurled a glass at the floor, the shattering sound barely calming my rage. I

“Greg,” I repeated slowly.“Yes?” he replied.“That name sounds familiar.”“Really?”“Hm… maybe I’ve heard it somewhere. But I don’t think I’ve seen this face before, so it’s probably just a coincidence.”Greg chuckled softly. “Either way, it was nice meeting you,” he said with a charming smile.“I’d love to see your beautiful face again,” he added, his gaze lingering on me.That look sent a strange shiver down my spine. He smiled once more, walked over to his red Porsche, and drove off.If I were being honest, the first thing I noticed about him was how strikingly handsome he was. Tall, well-built, with deep blue eyes and irresistible pink lips. His black-and-brown hair was clearly dyed—but it suited him perfectly. A round face, sharp nose, and a lean, athletic build.I caught myself fantasizing about his muscles. This was definitely my type.Shaking my head, I walked to my car and drove home.***************** **“Why did you want to see me?” Jason asked coldly.“I just—”“If you ha

“Erm…” I stammered.“You had no right to kiss me,” he said coldly.“I only wanted to prove to her that we’re really in love.”“Are we?” he asked sharply.I fell silent. Why was he even overreacting? It was just a kiss.“I warned you before, Alexa,” he added. “Don’t start building false hopes that we’ll fall in love. That will never happen. Think straight—and never kiss me without my permission.”With that, he walked away.“What an asshole!” I muttered, shaking my head. Why did I even kiss him?Barbara and Anna walked up to me.“Wow, calm down, Mrs. Anderson. That kiss was intense,” Barbara teased with a grin.I rolled my eyes.“Be careful,” Anna warned.“What do you mean?” I asked.“Don’t attract too much attention from the press, or they’ll start monitoring your entire life.”“True. Thanks.”“Treat him well tonight, okay?” Barbara added playfully.“Stop that,” I snapped.Jace walked over with a bright smile.“Hey, gorgeous.”“Hey, Jace.”“Nice kiss you had there,” he winked.“Would y

  • ENTANGLED MARRIAGE    CHAPTER FOURTEEN: DO YOU ACCEPT HIM AS YOUR HUSBAND?

The sun rose gently, announcing a new day…A day I never imagined for myself — the day I would marry someone I did not love.I opened the curtains and stared at my garden. My beautiful garden. I remembered cutting flowers for my parents back when things were simple and happy. My chest tightened. How much I was going to miss this view.A wedding. But not the kind I dreamed of — not the type where I stood beside someone who loved me and whom I adored in return. For the past week, my mother and Mrs Anderson had worked tirelessly on the engagement arrangements, squealing with excitement like children who had just received Christmas presents. Meanwhile, my reality felt like an emotional prison.Yesterday, I went to my house to pack. I placed the home in the care of a lady I trusted. I didn’t pack everything — a part of me knew I would still return someday. At least on days when life became unbearable.I sighed.I’m getting married today… to a total jerk. And I had to face it.My phone rang

“Hey, Alexa.”Mika’s voice cut sharply through the room, her expression twisted into a deep frown.I noticed immediately how Jace and Mika’s eyes locked—too interested, too flirtatious for my comfort.“Oh… is this the rich guy you’re supposed to marry?” Mika asked with a smug little grin. “You’re lucky. Getting one of the Anderson twins? He’s hot.”“Hi,” Jace said, waving casually.“Hey,” Mika replied with a bright smile.“Is she your cousin?” Jace asked.I stared at both of them, uneasy at how boldly they exchanged looks.“Alexa?” he called again.I arched a brow at him.“I’m her cousin. Mika Davis.” Mika answered proudly.“Not bad,” he said with a smirk.“Alexa, I need you to work on a document immediately,” Mika said suddenly, throwing a stack of files onto my desk with unnecessary force.“Hey, you—!” I snapped.“Remember, I’m in charge here,” she said with a nasty little snarl. “So don’t you dare refuse. Bye, handsome.” She winked at Jace before strutting out.“Oh? She called me h

‎“Don’t marry him,” Anna said abruptly.‎“Do you have any reason for saying that?” Barbara asked curiously.‎“I don’t,” Anna replied. “But you know, you’ll be dealing with Sydney.”‎“Oh, you mean that lady who claimed to be Jason’s girlfriend at the party?” I asked.‎“It’s not just a claim. It’s the truth. They’re in a relationship.”‎“So?” I shrugged.‎“I’ll advise you not to marry him.”‎“But I have no choice. Mika—my horrible cousin—is going to take over after all my hard work.”‎“Isn’t there anything you can do about it?” Barbara asked.‎“If there was, do you think I’d be complaining? Mom has her reasons for this marriage. Neither Jason nor I are interested in it, but our moms are desperate. So, I guess I’ll have to do this for her.”‎“I support your decision, Alexa,” Barbara said softly. “Since your mom wants it, I’ll respect that. But from what I’ve seen, Jason must be very obnoxious and impudent. Don’t let him hurt you. And considering how your marriage isn’t based on love, you
