Chapter 25

Sophia was in the kitchen preparing dinner for the family when her mother showed up. “Sophia, your phone has been ringing nonstop, it seems urgent.”

Sophia reduced the heat of the cooker and took the phone from her mother. “Please help me keep an eye on the pot. I’ll just make a quick phone call.” She said and left the kitchen.

She dialed Daniella’s number and she picked up the call at first ring. “Hey Daniella, what’s up?”

“I need your help, Sophia. I messed up real bad and I don’t know what to do or who to call. I think I’m losing my mind right now.” Daniella panicked over the phone, sounding like she was about to tear up.

“Okay, okay, calm down and tell me what the problem is.” Sophia tried to persuade her.

“I can’t tell you over the phone. You need to come see it for yourself. I’ll text you the address. Please hurry or I might just do something terrible to myself again.” She said and dropped the call.

“Hel…hello, Daniella.” She heard the dial tone go off and looked at her cellphon
