Visit To The Palace

Alice's point of view:

The flight toward Alaska took over ten hours before we landed at the airport. I still remember the look on both of Joshua's parents when he declared his wish on taking me along with him to the coronation ceremony. It still made me laugh, though it already happened a day ago.

Once we've landed, we found some black cars waiting not only for us but also for another Alpha who had just landed the same as us. 

" Alpha Blake? Joshua Blake?" exclaimed one of the drivers placed beside the black cars while approaching us. 

" Exactly!" Answer him, Joshua, while looking much more mature than the normal I know about him.

" I would love it if you join me, please." As the driver was done speaking, Joshua nodded to him as we both followed after him.

The drive from the airport to the place took also much time as it was about three hours now. Even so, we didn't reach our destination. The restless feeling I was having was getting stronger the closer we got to the hot destination.

" I'll toast a coin to know what's on my mind." Whispered Joshua while intending to create a smooth atmosphere. It seemed that I wasn't the only one worried about this night. Still, our worries have both different perspectives.

" This will be an enormous loss for you since I myself, I don't know what's on that mind I'm having."

" You're worried about tonight? Aren't you?" He asked and I couldn't deny it, either. So I ended up nodding with my head.

" I'm wanting to be the good body I shall be and to ask not to worry. Still, I'm feeling the same as you." 

A weird silence consumed both of us, since I decided not to reply. I wasn't just worried; I was feeling restless. The thing is that whenever I get the same feeling, nothing comes well along with the feeling I'm having right now.

 While lost in my thoughts, the car stops. 

" It seemed that we had finally reached the palace." Explain Joshua while leaving the car.

Unconsciously, my mouth dropped open from the view in front of me. I was standing in front of the most outstanding Palace I've ever seen in my entire life. Probably, it was the most outstanding place I've ever seen since it was the only one I've seen.

The walls were designed in a magnificent way with three main colors: white, gold, and brown. Not to mention the garden that seems to be a fallen part of heaven.

The same driver escorted us both to the room we were supposed to share. The moment we were in the room I would stay in while being in the Palace, I struggled to stop myself from gasping. The room was simply a vast version of my dream personal space. For sure, it was a luxurious one and even a better one than the one I was imagining.

For some unknown reason, I was feeling speechless, and while lost in my thoughts - the driver decided to announce before he vanished.

''The rooms are soundproof, free to make any noise you want'' 

Joshua started laughing hilariously while I felt a bit embraced. I don't know for what reason, but most people mistake us to be a couple. Joshua finds it always funny, yet, I personally think it's annoying.

"As much as I am excited to meet my mate, I'm also horrified by the thought of meeting her." He explained and all I could tell him was, "I know."

He didn't stop right here, as he decided to speak again on the same matter.

" What if our mates weren't some regular Alpha's invited to the palace? What if they were Lycans? Would you imagine...." Before he was able to finish his line, I cut him off.

" Please, I don't feel okay talking about it." 

Before getting any further, a knock on the door saved my life. It was the maid; she brought our luggage to us, then she left.

" I'll leave to get ready first, then I'll join you." 

Add Joshua before he leaves. I went to the bathroom to have a shower since I believe that I totally need a cold shower. The cold water runs through my body, washing away all signs of exhaustion.

I simply picked a white dress with no sleeves, and that covers my entire body until my knees to wear for today's ceremony. I'm not the type who enjoys having attention, the reason why I kept everything simple.

For the make-up, I took all the time I needed to fix a light velvet shadow eye's makeup, and also light velvet lipstick which suited the white long dress I was wearing. Last but not least, I fixed my silver hair in a bridal way. 

For the shoes, I was about to collect the ones brought to me by Joshua when it comes to my mind that everything is sort of familiar to me. Especially the white dress. It was the same one I drew on my last painting. Only then, another vision comes to my sight.

A knock on the door brought me back to reality only to be surprised by what my hand drew. I hid the drawer under the bed, then went to open the door. As I expected, it was Joshua. 

The moment his eyes met mine, I felt that he's going to say or do something stupid, and that's what exactly happened.

"Who are you?" He asked, while shaking my entire body. " Where's Alice? What have you done to her?"

" Unless you want me to throw up on you, you need to stop," I warned him and he seemed affected by my warning.

" Now you seem more like yourself." He explains while laughing. He then took his suit then went toward the bathroom.

" What are you doing?" I asked him, and he answered as if he was stating the obvious. 

" Getting ready..." 

" In the bathroom?" I asked again, and he was like.

" Exactly."

" Seriously, an entire palace and they can't manage to find an individual room for each of us." I started huffing and puffing.

He answered me from inside of the bathroom. " It wasn't possible for me to bring a human with me unless I declared you as my mate."

" You did what?" I shouted at him. He didn't answer me at all as he was showering right now. 

When he was done getting ready, I was surprised to see a new version of an Alpha going out from the bathroom. The one who got in was an annoying fellow, but the one going out seemed to be a real good-looking alpha.

I thought it was the right time to pay back my lovely friend's attitude. " Where's Joshua? What have you done to him?"

He chuckled as he started acting like a gentleman. " After you, my lady!" I rolled my eyes as I followed him to where he was heading.

The hall was full with dozens of mighty werewolves; they were dressed expensively, breath-taking suits and outstanding dresses. 

I stepped inside the hall while having Joshua by my side; we were both intense as we both knew what was going to happen.

The royal Lycanthropes were placed at the royal zone, still not all of them. The crowned prince and his late husband were not here yet. It was normal that they would be late as a sort of attention grabbing method. 

" Wanna dance?" Asked Joshua, and before I was able to answer - whispers and gasps fill the whole hall. It was all about the crowned prince that everyone's waiting for. He was here with his mate. 

Of course, I was curious about the way the Lycan prince was looking. Yet, I was now searching for the owner of that wonderful smell crossing my nose. What I didn't expect was to meet both my targets at once. The crowned prince and the owner of that smell, they were both the same person - my mate.

Lost in my thoughts, I was when Joshua brought me back to reality. His hold tightened at my hand while his eyes turned into red - the color of eyes that only alpha possessed.

" Mine!" He growled, not too loud while his eyes were pointed to the lady by the prince's side...

No, this can't be what I'm thinking about. This is even worse than what I've thought...
