Chapter 13

Third person POV

“Wow that was the sweetest thing I have ever heard”, Julian stated while letting a couple of tears fall down his cheek.

Angel nodded while going through the box, she was flabbergasted: Car key, Diamond necklace, gift cards for her favourite stores and the most stunning dress I had ever seen.

She looked around at us all and no one knew how to react, Christie said “what is the key for?”

Angel stood and walked to the window, when she peeked out her mouth dropped open. “No fucking way!” She stated

Angel walked outside followed by all of us, everyone is intrigued to find out what car the keys belong to.

The ooooo’s and ahhhhh’s were coming from all directions as we gathers around a light green sports car. The convertible car had 5 leather seats, top spec inside and out, the alloy wheels were diamond encrusted and it was even presented with a big red bow across the bonnet.

“This is too much, I can’t and I won’t accept this”, Angel stated as she looked around for clarification

“Girl, if you do t accept it then I will”, Julian said with excitement as he took the key from her hand jumped in. He started the car and it roared to life.

While everyone was happy and looking around the car, Angel took a step back and just smiled as she looked around hoping g she would see her mysterious mate.

Unlucky for him she spotted the car but unlucky for her it was already driving off and she could see the driver or any occupants.

She noticed it was definitely the same car that had been spotted outside her home while she was stuck inside being cared for, it was more noticeable because of the registration which was clearly a personal plate ALPH 5, she had no idea what it stood for but now she was definitely going to investigate and ask around.

As she turned back to look at her flash new green car she automatically looked at the registration and to her surprise it also had a personal plate, ANGEL 2, she wondered why it was a 2 but she was definitely impressed as a private registration gave you a high standing in the community. Personal registrations tend to mean someone is from a wealthy background and although that wasn’t true for Angel she was definitely happy to have it seem so, for a while at least. She had already decided the gift was way too expensive to keep but she was very grateful for the gesture.

The shock of the surprise visit took its toll on Angel and her friends noticed she was starting to dwindle, “Right guys, the laughs have been great and the drinks tasty but that’s a wrap for the evening, thanks for coming” she all but pushed people out of the door as she brought the party to a close.

Julian started on the clean up while Angel parked the car in her garage as Christie checked all the rooms for stragglers.

Finally they all sat on the sofa, order take away and right away the hot topic was mystery man, and his high end gifts.

No-one had any ideas what ALPH5 was but if hers was ANGEL 2 then maybe ALPH was part of his name. They all got out devices, phones, iPads and laptop and put the search engines at work looking for names including ALPH.

They came up with random options RALPH was the closest viable name they could find but Christie did not how close it was to Alpha and they all laughed at the idea.
