CHAPTER ELEVEN

LILY

I watch my father as he paces around the room, he has been on phone call after phone call ever since he was released. I told him how I had talked to Nickolas and he was livid with anger but I make him understand that I have seen through his fraud. I do not go into the details with him about what I and Nickolas talked about, I guess because a part of me still thinks there can be a possibility that he might just be right.

Stupid, I cannot even believe I am thinking of this right now after all he has done.

This has always been how it is with me, always trying to seek out the good in people.
