Charlotte’s lips parted, stunned by Mandy’s words. “Pause the design? Mandy, we can’t do that. The necklace is almost done. It’s in the final stage. Production is scheduled to start in fifteen days. If we stop now, we’ll fall behind by a month.”

Mandy didn’t even flinch. “And?”

Charlotte frowned. “That means we’ll miss our release date.”

Mandy gave a calm smile. “This is BLAQ. We don’t chase trends, we set them. When we’re ready, we release. If we’re not? No one dares to complain.”

Charlotte opened her mouth again, but Mandy raised her hand slightly, her focus back on the identical sketches.

“This design isn’t secure anymore. You understand what that means? It’s exposed. How can two people, one from inside our company and one from outside, have the exact same drawing of this necklace?”

Charlotte let out a quiet breath, her eyes narrowing a little.

"I know her," she said finally, her voice almost a whisper but sharp enough to catch attention.
