Vera's POV

It was already eleven in the evening but still, I couldn't sleep. So many things were lingering in my mind. I was thinking about Dave's offer. He said he would be willing to be a father to my baby. Well, Dave is a good man so eventually, I would learn to love him someday.

I shook my head and heaved a deep sigh. Then suddenly, Royce's face flashed in my mind and anger rose in my heart.
