Moonbow, A Blessing.

Jin-Ae got discharged.

She thanked the staff for taking care of her and gave Seon-Ho a giggly goodbye hug in the end.

That hug made Min-Jae gape at them without even blinking for once as he shambled towards the door but Seon-Ho relished that.

Jin-Ae's heart began whipping hastily just by his gaze and the weird surge of stares between two handsome guys.

She could feel something, in another type of way. In a haste, she grabbed her phone and ran to get to Min-Jae's speed.

"Hey, slow down", Jin-Ae wailed taking hold of her breath as she took a glance of his clenched jaw and immediately looked forward in confusion.

"Is he jealous?", Jin-Ae thought that's when Min-Jae responded.

"Oh, your small legs can't keep up. I see", He said smirking evilly whilst he adjusted Jin-Ae's heavy bags on his broad, tough shoulders.

She was disgruntled and lugged her lips to the side as she face-palmed herself mentally.

They walked to the car without a word, Jin-Ae being totally in love with the guy next to her, couldn't help but glared at him the whole time.

In no time, they were near the car. As thought, his car exhibited his aroma and spoke a lot about his temperament.

He led her to his car and opened the door as he looked at her with a tiny stare and sided his bangs that concealed his beauty all this time.

The view was too much for her, as she fell for him, for now, the thousandth time.

Jin-Ae stood confused far from where Min-Jae was standing.

"What? Chivalry?", she thought.

To not make it obvious, she sauntered towards him and asked as she giggled to suppress the blood rush to her cheeks.

"We playing fairytale now?", Min-Jae laughed a little and went to his side as soon as he made sure that she's relaxed.

Min-Jae looked at her with a soft glance and soon, the vroom came to life as he started the car.

There was a sweet piquant smell of baby breaths combined with his cologne, she was in pure awe.

The night air crashed against the car speed and the huge splendid trees on the way whilst the cold bliss made her hair swivel back and forth as she put her hand out to feel the viscosity of cold night air.

Cherishing the nightlife of Seoul, she realized how much she forfeited going out. She closed her eyes and quickly opened them, hoping to see any stars shining for her.

The night sky looked soaked in dark greyish colour as heavy clouds wandered on the black pane of nature as same as her mind which was blank.

There were no stars or moon, just heavy clouds that would burst out of their comfort zone anytime soon.

Finding no stars made her frustrated. She twirled and asked Min-Jae to help her close the window.

"No, You need fresh air. Let it be."Min-Jae took a glance at her and went on.

"Who said I would die without air, I'm cold." She whined in tiny. Min-Jae was amazed as his stare accentuated the more he looked at her.

He slowed down the car to help the gullible Jin-Ae. He leaned towards her to let her know how to do it.

Her heart thudded rapidly as her breath became uneven, her eyes opened wide denying the fact that he's so close to her.

She saw his long lashes shifting, in an instant she drew away her face to avoid any eye contact. His cologne was making her mind debating in between to kiss him or to just act cold.

Min-Jae soon backed up which felt like a century to Jin-Ae.

"Ahh- you scared me." She said looking another side as she tried to hide the embarrassing red tint on her cheeks.

Min-Jae chuckled a little and sped up. The ride went on being awkwardly romantic with a threatening hush, filled with peace.

Today was the day Jin-Ae was terrified of the most, but somehow she conserved her cool.

Min-Jae and Seon-Ho knew it was the happiest yet the most unfortunate day of her life. She recovered and gained back the stamina to run around but at the same time, she needs to go to a dwelling where no one would be waiting for her.

Min-Jae tried his best to make Jin-Ae feel home and comfortable but he could hear the threatening silence before the storm that was about to come.

He knew, that when she'll be home, it'll one of her horrible nightmares, worst than ever.

Soon, the clouds lost it's sane as rain poured down rapidly to the ground. The sound of water droplets kissing the ground was inordinate for Jin-Ae.

She pulled down the window so the water droplets could kiss her skin, that might halt the burning sensation that her heart couldn't bear any more.

The delighted, fearful roars made her remember the night she got into the accident. The thought made her flinch and revert her face to Min-Jae, to find comfort.

Min-Jae noticed, softly and delicately his fingers brushed through her hands as he held her hands to let her know that he's here.

She felt solace in the warmth of his caress. She doesn't know what that comfort was for? Her mind was just crazy turmoil of insane thoughts and blankness walking in through.

She looked outside, to appreciate the earthy smell. She loved the petrichor that never fails to ease her down.

The cold air stung her face as it hit her cheeks with cool water droplets, she felt cold. Soon, she adjusted herself back to her seat, that's when actuality hit her.

"Min-Jae!! This is not the right turn." She furrowed her eyebrows in panic.

"Calm down, Jin-Ae. I know this is not the right turn." Min-Jae gave her a reassuring look and sped up a little more.

"Am I not going home?", She mumbled as she gulped her breath in one go.

"Jin-Ae... I'm not kidnapping you." He hilariously laughed at her reaction and stopped the car.

"Here we go."

Jin-Ae detracted her attention from Min-Jae's to the front.

There was no rain, the sky looked extant with coarse energy. She unlocked the door and jumped out with her mouth open.

The millions of stars were muttering to each other as eager as Jin-Ae was to see them. She walked slowly, adoring the night sky and stars, she wanted to see.

An arm wrapped her from behind, settling down the continuous anxious storm in her.

Min-Jae pointed at the round like a circle.

"Is... Is that a rainbow?" Jin-Ae scarcely moved her head not to distance herself from him and look at him at the same time.

Jin-Ae's back touched his strong, firm chest as Min-Jae tightened his grip.

"Is he back hugging me right now?"

Min-Jae's words interpreted her romantic sentiments as he said "Yes."

"That's called a Moonbow. These are formed from the light of the moon and storms at night like the one going on in you. You know storms always swerve into beautiful things in the end...

Jin-Ae was amused. "How he knew. all this?" she questioned herself.

"I think we were fated to witness this together. These are rare and we got to see this. Moonbows are a blessing and a symbol of patience. I'm so lucky to have you by my side right now. I'm so happy to have this blessing with you."

"The world you see, the world you lived is very cruel. I know, Jin-Ae. But there are a lot of little things that are too beautiful for us to admire but we never focus on that. Life is hard and crazy but it's beautiful, full of explanations, theories and mesmerising."

"This moonbow is the end of your miseries, now it's time to function and not to hide anymore. I'm here for you ALWAYS on your decent days to your worst. You can count on me and vent to me whenever you want to.

We are not playing fairytale right now but let's make something more beautiful than a fairytale."

They stayed like that for a long time as far as Jin-Ae could recollect.

Min-Jae dropped her home and left as he respected her personal space.

Tik Tok, Tik Tok.

A small tired groan escaped from her lips as she opened the door and everything snapped back. She stood there and gawked in the house for a few seconds before hauling herself into the house with glossy eyes.

The hallucinations were too much for her at the moment. He arrived and left. He smiled at her, waved at her and left.

The continuous flashbacks of her dad hugging her and making funny faces when she would be tired and miserable made her explode in tears.

She scanned the whole house, to absolve any chances of her dad being there, you know maybe he came back.

She looked for him in the kitchen wishing he would be there cooking some mac and cheese or in the sitting room watching Spongebob.

Walking here and there, she got tired. The candle of hope got dim, very small and died slowly and gradually.

She cried a river and drenched into the sadness. It felt like she didn't weep enough that day. She felt like she should grieve for the rest of her life for the loss she never thought she would have to face, like this.

A part of her was missing, she's frantic and impatient to have him back but at the same time, she can't do anything about it.

That's what the unhappiest fact about death. They can't come back.

After wailing for a few hours, she recalled Min-Jae's words, smiled and looked for the phone.

A text appeared:

"He's watching you and seeing you like this might hurt him a lot then you can think. Don't be sad. He's in a better place now."

She sighed with a lot of concerns in her mind when her phone dinged again.

"I'm right here, just one call away. Don't be sad, you have me now."

Jin-Ae smiled and replied to him. She felt comforted even though those were barely two simple texts.

She was exhausted and slept while sobbing on the rocking chair her dad used to sleep on winter nights waiting for her so they can eat together.
