Chapter 89: Whispers in the dark

It took them days to get back to Bloodmoon pack.

They traveled at night in their wolf forms, running through the forest under the sky filled with stars; a silver wolf closely followed and protected by three massive brown wolves.

They made love at night, each of them pleasuring Diana until her cries of passion echoed into the starry night.

And on the fourth day, they finally got close to the borders of the pack.

They stopped to rest for the night and while Asher and Axel left to gather wood to build a fire, Alden arranged the sleeping bags.

"Father and mother would be so delighted to see us." Alden was saying. His hands moved swiftly as he worked. "It's been so long. These past few weeks felt like years, didn't it?"

Behind him, Diana sat quietly, her back resting against a tree.

Her eyes were opened, but it seemed she was lost in thoughts. She stared into nothingness, unblinking. The only movement from her was the rise and fall of her chest as she breathed.
