Chapter 20: Clue

When I looked at the phone in my hand, I saw a picture of Hannah and Louis bound to a chair. Just by looking at their lifeless faces, it appears that they have lost consciousness.

My knees were knocking into each other, and my hands are shaking. I was startled for a moment and experienced a jolt of coldness down my spine.

"Who would have been able to do this to them? What exactly have Hannah and Louis done to deserve the way they have been treated so poorly? If Mona is to blame for this, I will see to it that she comes to deeply regret what she has done!" I made a solemn pledge to myself while maintaining a determined expression.

As soon as I regained control of my entire being, I attempted to call the number that had sent the images to me; however, the call was not successful. The provider of the service insisted that this was not a valid number. This demonstrates that the message was sent from a non-public number.
