Chapter 3

ผู้เขียน: Mojito
The day I left the Grayson Pack House,
I carried nothing that tied me to Caleb.

No letters. No photos.
Not even the silver bracelet that had bound us in an arranged bond for years.

Gregory Grayson, the former Alpha, had begged me more than once to stay.
But I refused.

I walked out with a single suitcase, leaving behind the home I had lived in for over a decade.

Just as I reached the gates, a she-wolf rushed toward me—blocking my path.

The moment her eyes met mine, I recognized her.
She was the one who had lingered by Caleb’s side the longest.

The Omega who had borne his pup.

She froze too.

Her lips trembled, tears spilling over.
“Quinn,” she pleaded, voice cracking,
“please… don’t take my son away.”

Her hands clutched the air as if the pup were still in her arms.

“I know you hate me around Caleb. If you’ll just give me back the baby—
I’ll leave. I’ll vanish.”

My chest tightened for an instant.

To women like her, I had always been the villain—
the unwanted fiancée, clinging to an Alpha who never wanted me.

A bitter laugh slipped past my lips—
but before I could answer, a car door slammed behind me.

Caleb stepped out.
“Don’t worry,” he said smoothly, striding toward her, his dominance filling the air.
“No one’s taking our pup.”

She collapsed into him instantly, pressing her face into his chest, trembling as though he was her only lifeline.
Caleb wrapped an arm around her waist.

Then his gaze snapped to me.
Sharp. Possessive.

“Quinn,” he warned, his voice edged with command, “don’t forget your promise.”

I raised my suitcase.
“I won’t.”

His eyes flicked down to it.

A cold glint flashed in his gaze.

“Already running off?”

His sneer cut through the night.

“The engagement ends and you leave the Pack House like this? What will the pack say?
That the Graysons couldn’t keep their Luna?”

He stepped closer, his wolf bleeding into his voice, low and dangerous.

“Quinn, I’m not letting you go.”

For a moment, my wolf whimpered inside me—her grief raw, her cry desperate.

But I hardened my heart.

“I don’t believe in the bond anymore,” I whispered.
“Even if my wolf breaks… I won’t stay.”

And with that, I turned my back on my fated mate.

My grip tightened around the handle of my suitcase as I met Caleb’s icy gaze.

“Now that the engagement is over,” I said evenly, “staying here would only give the pack more to whisper about.”

I stepped down the stairs, but before I could take another step, Caleb’s hand closed hard around my arm.

“I said,” he growled, voice low and edged with Alpha command, “you’re not leaving.”

It was the first time I had ever seen him lose control.

For years, I had chased him, only to be met with silence and indifference.

And now, when I had finally turned away, his wolf surfaced with fury.

But it no longer mattered.
No matter what he said, no matter how his presence burned, I was done.

I wrenched my arm free and turned my eyes to the she-wolf standing behind him.
Serena.

The Omega who had given birth to his pup.
Her tears had dried; she stood quiet, watching.

“You should remember boundaries, Caleb,” I said, my voice flat.

“Serena is watching. Once she becomes your Luna, me staying here would be nothing but a disgrace.”

Something shifted in him.

His jaw clenched, his face darkened, and without a word he lashed out with his boot.

My suitcase crashed down the stone steps, the violent sound echoing through the Pack House like bones snapping.

Caleb turned back to me, eyes burning—cold, cruel, controlled.
And then he laughed.

“Right,” he said, lips twisting into a smirk.
“I almost forgot. Serena and my son are moving in today.”

He stepped closer, his words sharp enough to cut.

“Your room makes the perfect nursery. Whether you leave or not, Quinn, I was going to throw you out.”

“So go. Get out.”

He didn’t look back.

He simply took Serena’s hand and walked inside.

The heavy door slammed shut behind them, final and echoing.

I stood on the steps, kneeling to pick up my broken suitcase.

One corner had split open, but I did not cry.
For the first time in seven years of chasing Caleb, I felt no sorrow—only relief.

Relief that I was free.
That I had chosen to walk away before the Moon Goddess herself forced me to.

And that day, with nothing but my pride intact, I left the Grayson Pack House behind.

The moment I saw him—wearing the exact same tailored tuxedo as Ethan—
I froze.Caleb had been gone for an entire year.
No one in the pack had expected him to suddenly show up… least of all, here.Ignoring the stunned stares from our guests, he walked straight toward me, eyes locked with mine, brimming with an affection that had never once been mine to claim. He reached out a hand, his voice dangerously soft, dripping with a tenderness I had once begged for.“Quinn,” he murmured, using the name he’d called me since we were pups.
“You’ve loved me since you met me, haven’t you?
Well… I finally love you back. Be my mate. Seal the bond with me.”In his palms—held as if it were something sacred—was the bracelet I had once removed myself, the one that had marked our arranged bond. But my fingers were already laced tightly with Ethan’s, his cool grip grounding me.
I finally looked at Caleb—the Alpha who had once looked down on me from the height of his throne.“Caleb,” I said quietly, “I di

A year at Ethan Blackwood’s side had changed everything. The biggest change wasn’t the new city, the travel, or the work.
It was me.
My heart, my spine—stronger than they’d ever been. For the first time, I truly saw how many years I’d wasted on Caleb Grayson.Over those twelve months, Ethan and I had grown comfortable around each other—friends, even.
And stepping into his life, I learned that the powerful Alpha everyone feared wasn’t as unshakable as he seemed. That first month, the relentless work pace broke him down.
I’d seen him burning with a fever, refusing to set foot in a hospital.
I’d seen him pale and delirious, muttering incoherently in his sleep. That night, his skin was scorching, his breathing shallow.
He reached for my hand—always cold—and pressed it to his cheek like it was the only relief in the world. And I let him hold on.
All night.Maybe that was the moment the line between us blurred, just enough to be dangerous. The night before we returned home, there was a

The car was silent the entire ride.
I didn’t speak.
Not once. From the moment we left the club, Ethan Blackwood had kept his eyes shut, leaning back in his seat like he was sleeping. It wasn’t until we were pulling up to the edge of my small apartment complex that I gathered the courage to whisper, careful not to “wake” him.
“Thanks… for helping me tonight.”The words had barely left my lips when his eyes opened—slowly.Light brown.
Piercing.
They locked on me and stayed there… far too long. The longer he stared, the stiffer my limbs became.
Had I offended him somehow?
Said something wrong? At last, he looked away—as if my thanks had been… accepted.I reached for the door handle, ready to get out, when his voice cut through the still air.“I heard you moved out of the Grayson Pack House,” he said. “Planning on going back?”Under the dim glow of the streetlamp, I caught only the sharp, perfect lines of his profile—expression unreadable, as if the question meant nothing to him.I didn’t

    That single word—“Quinn”—
was enough to reignite the fury Caleb had barely leashed. His face twisted into something dark, sharp, dangerous.
Word by word, he bit out,
“Ethan, Quinn is my mate. Stay out of this.”The Alpha leaning against the car door didn’t even blink.
He lifted his lashes lazily, his voice edged with indifference.
“Is that so? Strange… I recall you couldn’t stand her before.”Everyone knew how deep my feelings for Caleb had run.
When they saw me staring at him in silence,
they mistook it for surrender.Voices rose around us.
“Looks like Caleb’s finally claiming his Luna—don’t waste it this time!”
“When’s the bonding? Seal the mark already!”Caleb’s expression stayed carved from ice.
But he extended his hand toward me, lowering his tone just a fraction.
“Quinn… come back to the Pack House.”I tilted my chin, gaze flicking to the Omega beside him—Serena—
her eyes rimmed red, tears trembling at her lashes. For a heartbeat, guilt flickered in Caleb’s eyes.
But he di

Even Caleb had to give Ethan Wright some measure of respect. Now, though, Caleb’s expression was frozen at absolute zero.
He cast a sidelong glance at the Alpha who had just broken one of his infamous rules, his face unreadable. No one in the private lounge dared speak. To break the tension, someone suggested a few party games.
I wasn’t used to this kind of scene—lost more rounds than I could count.
Almost every penalty fell on me.One of the guests, pity in their eyes, told me I could pick someone to take the punishment for me.All eyes turned to Caleb.
They assumed I’d run straight to him.Caleb’s furrowed brow eased slightly.
He leaned back into the sofa with lazy confidence, the faintest smirk curving his lips.
He was sure I’d bow my head and ask.I glanced at him once—then turned away.“Ethan,” I said, “will you help me?”Of all the people here, only Ethan could defy Caleb without fearing the consequences.Truthfully, I’d planned to let him refuse, so I could feign disappointment

  • Fated and Forsaken   Chapter 4

Living alone wasn’t as hard as I thought.
Once the pack heard I’d left the Grayson House, my childhood friends started showing up—sleepovers, movie nights, excuses to stay. That night the room was crowded with blankets and laughter.
In the dark, someone asked,
“Quinn… are you really over Caleb?”I lay flat, staring at the ceiling.
“Yeah. I’ve let him go.”Another girl said, “My brother swears Caleb hasn’t smiled since you left. Maybe he finally realized he loves you?”I laughed, sharp and loud.
“He figured it out now? After ten years? His wolf must be slower than his heart.”When the noise died, one friend leaned up, eyes bright.
“We should go out. Really out.”They picked a club.
Caleb’s club.I’d been there once. He dragged me out before I even got inside.
“This one,” he told the manager, pointing at me,
“ban her. I don’t want her face here again.”The staff memorized me.
Everyone watched.
He never cared—not even when I was his fiancée.After that I avoided his places, his scent,
