Chapter 9 Handsome Dad VS Ex-boyfriend

Elisa let out a loud gasp and sprang to her feet to grab the fluttering paperwork.

Brandon rushed over to provide help right away. "Please allow me to help you."

"There is no need. I'm capable of dealing with it myself. " Elisa's tone was uninteresting.

"Are you planning to keep me away like this?"

When Elisa's action of picking up documents didn't cease, he said, "Otherwise?" in hushed tones.

Brandon had asked her a question, and she was at a loss as to what to say in response.

"What actually occurred at that moment was not what you expected. What they said was untrue. "

"We have ended our relationship, and it is also a known fact that you and Julia are boyfriend and girlfriend. There is no need to relive the past in order to bring about trouble. "

"You used to be like this and still are." Brandon said in dismay.

Elisa opened her mouth as if she was going to say something important.

It was Julia's harsh voice that caught her attention. "Elisa, do you still have shameless tendencies and seduce my guy in public?"

The tea break period was coming to an end at that point. Many people came back one after another, and their attention was attracted by Julia's high-pitched voice, looking at Elisa with a good look.

Elisa could feel the eyes of the gossips on her and did not want to be a part of the awful behavior that would inflict 1000 wounds on the opponent while losing herself by 800.

But Julia had finally been given the opportunity to embarrass her, and she would not be able to avoid it easily.

"I wasn't expecting you to be that brazen about your appearance. I was surprised that you did! Did you think that everyone else was blind? "

Elisa pursed her lips and rose to her feet. When she was ready to fight back, there was someone who had arrived faster than she could have done.

"When did my fiancée have such a poor eye for this stuff?" The sound of William's harsh voice could be heard from beyond the door.

Everyone was drawn to the sound.

Elisa was no exception to the rule. She jerked her head in the direction of the source of the sound, she was startled when she saw William surrounded by everyone and came in.

William squinted slightly, and the late-autumn sunlight coated his face and torso with a brilliant glow that was dazzling, as if all of the sunlight had gathered on him in an instant.

It was only on Elisa's body that his deep eyes remained, like the Milky Way, and he just turned a blind eye to everyone else.

When he approached Elisa, he reached out with his hand and gently helped her to her feet. Then, as naturally, she was pulled behind her.

Julia's eyes were as sharp as a dagger, and she could not help but ask. "Can you repeat what you just said?" "What did you just say? Please repeat it again."

Julia saw William and swallowed her saliva with difficulty. Her body trembled unintentionally as a result of the encounter.

Brandon had an excellent view of William and identified him as the guy who had forced Elisa against the inside wall of the hospital elevator. His rage erupted, and he said, "What is your connection with Elisa?"

William looked at him with a squint. "You were deaf at an early age. Didn't I just say it clearly? "

Brandon hadn't expected William to say anything like that during the banquet. It took a long time for him to react. "How come, Elisa can't like people like you?"

From beginning to end, William never let go of Elisa's hand.

William spoke and he smiled gracefully. "What exactly am I? Do you know a lot about that as well? But you have a lovely partner. You should serve her well, so why come to my fiancée to hang out? Also, in the future, keep your mouth shut and think before speaking. I'll be really unhappy if you act rudely towards my fiancée again. "

Elisa was taken away by William at the end of the conversation.

He escorted Elisa into the elevator. William pressed a floor button.

Elisa instantly retracted her hand. "My job isn't done yet."

"You're referring to those manuscripts, right? I let someone else handle it. " William paused and added, "I will also let someone handle those two people."

Elisa looked at William, confused, and didn't understand what he meant by "handling those two."

The elevator stopped while they were talking. William escorted Elisa inside a suite and ordered her to sit on the sofa. "Have a good rest here. I'll have a meeting and return shortly."

William stood up and walked away. He returned just as he was ready to leave the room.

He took out his mobile phone from his pocket and put it in Elisa's hand. "If you are bored, look at Bruce's annoying spirit. There is a lot of black history in it. "

William left the room. He left in a hurry that time.

The silence descended upon the suite almost instantly.

Elisa lowered her head and glanced at the phone in her hand, which still had residual heat on it. Her hands, like they had their own consciousness, opened the screen softly.

Bruce's delicate and plump face appeared on the screen instantly, smiling at the camera. Those dark and sparkling eyes were quite similar to William's.

Elisa White gently stroked Bruce's cheek. Her fingertips seemed to be burnt and shrank back as she remembered the last time Bruce broke down.

Her retraction of her hand scratched the next image. It was a photo of William and Bruce.

Bruce was sitting on William's knee, his small neck arched high, his gaze fixed on William. William was glancing down at him as well.

That photograph had an exceptionally positive vibe to it.

Bruce also behaved like a typical child in front of William, placing his whole trust in William's capabilities.

Elisa's eyes were glued to William's face, and her heart shook as she watched him.

His hold on her wrist left a lingering impression on her. Elisa unintentionally touched her wrist.

She found the sensation of being protected odd, yet it made her feel thrilled at the same time.

In her childhood, her father frequently traveled for business on account of projects, and he would walk for an extended period of time when he returned.

She and her mother were the only ones who had remained at home for an extended period of time.

Her mother was a very dependent woman, and as for their family's tradition she would guard her mother from harm.

Her mother was in charge of cooking for her, and she was in charge of everything else.

As a result, she was accustomed to resolving all difficulties and issues on her own.

When Brandon ended his relationship with her in another country, she purchased a plane ticket on her own and flew to that country to block him and learn about his reasons.

A 19-year-old girl, who had never been outside of the country before, travelled overseas for the first time, had caused quite a commotion.

She could still recall the sadness and fear she felt at the time, as well as the feeling of helplessness and anxiety she had while in a new place.

Essentially, William was the first guy to drag her behind him and put a stop to her development when she faced difficulties.

But how could a man like William be so kind to her when she was such a low-profile resident? What the heck was he after?

She did not want to speculate about William's intentions, but she was well aware that she did not have the time or the duty to follow him in his foolishness.

What sort of lady did he seek? It was merely a unique way to get her to respond.

She would not be able to see her own position since William displayed a different part of himself in front of her and other people who are not involved.

With that in mind, Elisa placed her cell phone down and looked at her watch, which revealed that the seminar was about to come to an end. She gathered her belongings and left the suite.

Elisa sent a message to Professor Malick while riding in the elevator.

She informed him that she would be waiting for him in the car.
