Jessica’s story

It was almost six o’clock and no sign of Stephanie. I wonder if that weasel Paul

kept her overtime. A slight knock in my front door put me face to face with the building

administrator, a cute harmless old man that since I came here he was always on my side. But

by his face right now I think news was not that good.

- Good evening Jessica, this is for you!

- What is it?

He handed me a sealed white envelope with his aging shaky and dusty hands.

John was a nice and good man so if it was bad news he was just delivering them. And then

there was the owner of this building who thinks he is God and does whatever he wants.

The old nice John just shrugged so I gave it a rest.

- Thank you John, take care!

- You too Miss.

I closed the door watching in disbelief at the envelope. I don’t even have to the sofa

when the doorbell rang again. I wonder what John forgot to tell me. But it isn’t John…
