We arrived at mum and dad's house and Cole was inside before I was even out of the car. That only made me hurry more, He was on the warpath, and I didn’t want him doing something he’d regret.  

‘Shit shit shit!’ Getting out of the car quickly, I ran inside. Mum was waiting for me but dad and Cole were nowhere to be seen. I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could, I heard a loud bang from upstairs.

Mum and I shared a look and rushed up to see what the commotion was. It was coming from Maggie’s room.
