The gunshot that rang in the air was almost deafening.

“What the fuck!” Don Silvanos’s representative swore under his breath as he glanced around rapidly.

Then we both heard some of his men groaning in pain before falling silent in death. I hadn’t even known that there were guards outside the room watching over me even though I had already been bound with chains. We both knew that his men were being gunned down, and soon enough, it would get to him.

He glared at me with venom and bitterness, and I sneered in return.

“One day, I will have the honor of slitting your throat open and watching you bleed to death,” he said hatefully.

I could see the anger in the eyes because he was unable to kill me, which happened to be his earnest desire.

“You will never have that day, you bastard,” I told him with confidence.

It was a good thing that I wasn’t cowering before we heard gunshots, otherwise he would have termed it that it was because I suspected that my men had come for me that was why
