I smiled awkwardly, "What I mean is that I really want to see Miranda. I won't be able to taste even water until I have seen her."

"I know where she is," Terrence blurted. "If you want, I can take you to your wife."

I smiled at him, "I would really love that. Thank you."

"She's not at home right now, so...come with me." Once Terrence got to his feet, I stood up as well and told Miranda's mom that I would be back.

I began to stroll with Terrence who told me that Miranda was sitting alone in a garden not far from where we were.

As we got closer to the garden, he said to me, "Do not worry, brother-in-law. If Miranda gives you a hard time, I will yell at her, and trust me, it will reset her brain."

I turned, stood in front of him, and warned, "Listen, Terrence; No one is allowed to yell at my wife, not even you."

He raised his hands, "Okay, boss. I was just kidding."

I smiled, "I really like you, Terrence."

He smiled back and I realized he had the same eyes as Miranda.
