A month later….
Days passed by in a pleasant blur.
Eric Thompson was arrested and he would remain in custody while going through a trial. He wasn't granted bail because of his earlier escape.
His accomplice, Patricia was also arrested and charged with several criminal charges. It turned out that she was involved in a lot of crimes with her side boyfriend, the real father of her baby.
Rita had gotten back her properties and was now the CEO of the Jones group once again. Since she was married, she had put up her mansion for rent and re-hired her former staff.
Rita felt like everything that had happened to her was a dream. It felt surreal. But the glinting ring on her finger told her otherwise.
Her marriage was the only thing that made the nightmare beautiful.
A knock on the door broke Rita out of her thoughts.
