Aria’s POV

“Kaelen, no!”

But he was already lost in a rage that is so sharp it felt like the air itself was vibrating. His entire body moved with one intention. He walked straight toward where Aiden lay on the ground, still stunned from everything that had happened.

“A-Aria…”

He grabbed Aiden by the front of his clothes, lifting him up with both hands like he weighed nothing. And before Aiden could even react, Kaelen hit him again. The sound cracked through the space, and Aiden’s body hit the dirt with a thud. He coughed, struggling for breath, still too shocked to even defend himself.

“You really thought you could hurt her and walk away?!” Kaelen roared.

I froze. I had seen Kaelen angry before, but this… this was different. His rage was overwhelming, blinding. It was like someone had ripped away every ounce of control he usually held so tightly. I tried to reach for him, but he wasn’t listening. He wasn’t even looking at me. His eyes were locked on Aiden like nothing else existed.
