14 - Not Good Enough

I sniffled, my vision blurred by tears, and slowly lifted my head.

Before me stood Ares, his hand tightly gripping the back of Stacy's neck. She appeared frightened, but she didn’t dare fight off his hold.

The only word that escaped her lips was a breathless-"Alpha..."

"What do you think you're doing?" Ares' voice was chillingly calm, but a storm raged in his eyes.

I instinctively covered my exposed chest, realising my soaked white dress clung to my body, revealing my underwear. A broken sob escaped my lips and I quickly looked away, too ashamed to look at Ares.

Fire blazed in Ares' eyes like never before, his anger consuming every inch of his face.

He flung Stacy away without mercy, and she tumbled to the ground, her knees scraping against the rough surface, blood mingling with the rain. Ares seemed unfazed by her pain.
