Chapter 3

EVE

I ran off to behind school building. When I got there I didn’t expect that to see. Brad is kissing passionately another girl. When he notice me he stops kissing her and looks at me.

“So you find out huh. Either way you were going to find out anyway.” Brad says to me with a smirk.

“W-what do you mean" I replied.

“Well it is what it is looks like. I am tired with you . So i am breaking up with you. You are a slut anyway.” He said as he start to leave.

“Let’s go babe” He said to the girl and then they leave. What the hell just happen. He can’t break up with me like that. But he really did.

After that I start heading towards class. I don’t have anything to say. I am just going to found a new boy. Who cares. When I was heading to classroom I start to feel like throwing up so I quickly ran to washroom. There are some girls gossiping and doing makeup in the washroom but when they see me they quickly leave the place. But then I start to cough up blood. Blood? why is blood coming from my mouth. After a while I stop throwing up blood and then wash my mouth and face. When I returned to classroom the class has already started. So i didn’t went in the classroom. I bunk the rest of the class. After that I headed to home. I buy some cigarettes on the way back and smoke one. It makes me feel really good. I went back to home and order some food. I need money for the drugs I am going to buy today. That’s why i sneak in my mom's room and found her purse in the drawer I take a handful of money and then left the room. It was after evening when I went out to meet Liara at our usual meeting place , behind the abounded house. When I reached there I saw Liara already standing there.

“You are fucking late you know that?” Liara ask me.

“Yeah my bad. So you got the things?” I ask her quickly. I became so impatient when it comes to drugs

“Yes but have you bring the money?” Liara ask me raising one of her eye brow.

“Yes so what is it this time?” I ask.

“Great. It is this pills this time. But it is not normal pill. I hear it is pretty rare. So it costs double” She said.

“I don’t care about the money just give me the drugs already and take the money” I told her as I am handing money to her.

“Here take this" She give me the drugs in a packet.

“Thanks girl" I thanked her.

“Anytime" She replied. After that I take the drugs and headed to the bar I usually go. When I go into the bar I saw my ex with his new lover in there. I choose a seat far away from them. Here everyone comes to take drunk mostly. When I start taking the pills I can see why it costs double. It taste really good. After taking the pills I smoke for a while and then drink more alcohol. It is almost four pm. When I finished and headed towards home.

I slowly open the door and was heading to my room slowly when mom turn on the lights.

“Where were you last night? And why are you coming home now?” She ask me in an angry tone.

“Oh come on do I have to answer an old hag like you. Just fuck off" I get seriously pissed of whenever I saw her face. She never care for me. All she care is about work.

“Did you also stole the money from me?!” She ask me raising her voice This time.

“Yeah I did so what?! What are you going to do huh?” I replied back.

“Did you stole it again for drugs? “She ask me again.

“Ughh yes I did. So what are you going to do about that? It is your responsibility to provide me money and since I need it that’s why i took them. So now just piss off" I told her and was going to my room When I suddenly stop because my chest was suddenly aching and the I cough up blood.

“Hey wai-" She look at me in a surprise face.

“Why are you coughing up blood now? We need to go to doctor tomorrow. She need to know what disease you have. I don’t w to caught that diseases from you “ She say and then go back to her room

Next morning i got up a bit early and get ready for doctor's with mom. I got ready and went down to see my mom is already ready to leave. When she hear my footstep she look up at me with disgust and tell me to get into the car. If it wasn’t for my health I would never listen to that old bitch. But I have no other way but to rely on her . Damn it.  It’s been a long time since we drove somewhere together. Then we reached at the doctors and they run some blood work and then lab test. We are eating for the result to came back when the nurse call us in.

“Please take a seat" The doctor says and then we take our seats.

he pin drop silence in the doctor's room is killing me. I didn’t want to be here in the first place. My mother who never cared for me in her whole life forced me here today to come. The doctor is reading the test result silently. Every second is just feels like a year. Only the ticking sound of the watch can be heard. I feel like time somehow passing very slowly.  I just want to get out from here. After reading the nurses the doctor sigh and then said-

“I do not how to say it but it looks like you have Lung Cancer and it’s stage 4” The doctor say and hand us the test result . Suddenly my ear start to ringing as I start to space out after hearing the news.
