My skin tingled from the proximity of his body, the heat emanating from Adrian as he leaned closer still, an unreadable expression painted across his handsome features. His eyes, dark and inscrutable, flitted to my lips—a fleeting glance that sent a jolt of something dangerous down to my core—and then back up to lock with mine.
