Chapter 46: To True Love

Wedding Rehearsal (The Next Day)

I stood near the back, a bouquet of ivory silk roses in my hands.

The officiant clapped his hands. “Alright, from the top. Bridesmaids and groomsmen—pair up.”

Dean was up front, grinning just wide enough, not too much— glancing in my direction ever so often. A subtle reminder of his illicit proposal.

His best man, Henry, was beside him. Like the obedient dog he was.

And there in front, sitting beside my dad like he owned the place, was Roman.

He wasn’t part of the wedding. He wasn’t even supposed to be here in the first place. But somehow, his dark suit blended into the picture, making him look like he belonged.

Like he was actually the main event.

He met my eye, the corner of his mouth lifting up in a smile. Then he gave a little nod.

I smiled back— unable to contain my excitement and looked ahead, focusing on not tripping in front of so many people.

My feet moved on autopilot as I took my place. The music, romantic a

Chapter 49: Don't StopHis other hand slid over my body, splaying over my stomach before moving higher—possessive, greedy. His palm cupped my breast, thumb circling my nipples through my dress until my breath hitched hard.I shoved weakly at his chest. “Please, Roman. Please take me—”“I will,” he cut in, his grip tightening around my breast until my knees went soft. “And I won’t stop until you can’t stand without me holding you up.”He kissed me again, slower this time, deep and deliberate, like he was savoring every second he’d been forced to wait.He pressed me deeper against the wall, hands impatiently tugging my dress up until it rested above my waist. Leaving me bare for him to see. Without breaking contact, his free hand slid down, fingers landing over the heat between my legs. I gasped into his mouth, but he didn’t stop.“That dress was in my way,” he muttered darkly, “Now nothing is.”His knuckles brushed over my sensitive heat, and the sound he made when he felt how drippi

Chapter 48: I Don't BegRoman’s large hand burned into my waist and drew me closer, pulling me into his heat. His gaze remained on mine, hungry and impatient. “You’re trembling,” he murmured, voice low and teasing. “Tell me, Savannah, what’s got you this undone?”Heat rose to my cheeks, and I fought to steady my breath. “You,” I admitted, voice thick. He smiled—a slow, wicked curl of his lips—and slid his hand up the smooth curve of my thigh, fingertips tracing the fabric of my dress like it was nothing more than a veil.“Fuck me,” I whispered.“I can't not afford to, Sav,” he said, his voice dropping to a velvet growl. He moved like a predator, slow and deliberate, his hands gliding down my sides before sliding beneath the hem of my dress. The rough edge of his fingers found the delicate fabric of my panties, tracing the curve of my hip with featherlight teasing. My breath hitched.“Roman,” I whispered, voice thick and begging. He lifted his head, lips curled into a wicked smile. “M

Chapter 47: You've Always Been Mine, Savannah The night air was cool, sharp, and smelled faintly of rain as I slipped away from the chaos of the rehearsal dinner.Laughter and clinking glasses dulled into nothing, replaced by the hush of the gardens and the slow throb of my pulse in my own ears. My hands trembled as I braced against the stone wall of the restaurant, bending forward to draw in a breath that didn’t want to come.I heard him before I saw him—the steady, unhurried rhythm of his steps—like he knew exactly where to find me. And he obviously did. My body instantly betrayed me, reacting to him. “Sav.” His voice slid over my skin, low and threaded with something dangerous. He stepped in close, his warmth brushing my back as his hand found me, palm firm but careful, steadying me. “You're not okay.” The area where his hand was resting, felt like it was on fire. My skin prickled with sudden heat. I nodded, but my voice escaped me. “I’m fine.”“You’re clearly not.” His gaze c

Chapter 45: A Bloodline Of Vampires The tension might have reduced after Chloe’s outburst but I was sure that this was in no way over. Not by a long shot. Not when she’d just been denied something she wanted so badly. And the worst part? The thing she craved had landed in my lap without me having to lift so much as a manicured finger.Talk about karma and twist of fate having a drunken one-night stand after one too many tequilas. From across the lawn, I spotted Dean reemerging from the house with his bride in tow. Somehow, he’d managed to tame her storm, because she came out looking lighter—smiling even. But the new shine didn’t fool me. Her eyes still found me in the crowd like heat-seeking missiles, and each glare carried enough venom to melt the heels right off my shoes. I counted at least six in the last minute. The music had died down now to a slow R&B and only uncle Jace seemed to be grooving, swaying his hips in blissful ignorance. Everybody was still expecting the other sho

  • From Best Friend To Fiancé    I'll See You In Print

Chapter 44: I'll See You In Print Her words froze me completely. My blood turned to ice. Memories I'd kept buried clawed their way to the surface, mocking me in broad daylight. My tongue dried up instantly, sticking to the roof of my mouth. She knew she’d hit a nerve—poked at a forbidden place. But the silence between us didn’t last long.“I'm not trying to judge you or anything, Sav. I'm certain you had your reasons. And frankly, we've all made mistakes. And I know that you regret your actions but—” “That's enough.” I held up a hand, signalling a stop. “I'd like a moment alone. Please.” She turned, facing me completely. “Hold on, are you kicking me out of your room?” “Please, Alyssa. You've said enough.” Her lips parted like she had more to say, but the words stalled. Slowly, she stood, pinning me with a look that was half pity, half challenge.“I don’t know why you think that running away from this topic can make it go away. But it doesn't, Sav. Heck, I made a mistake. But I
