(Lily POV)

The first thing I notice is the smell.

Antiseptic. Sharp and clean, burning my nostrils like bleach. It cuts through the fog in my head like a knife, dragging me up from whatever deep, dark place I've been floating in. My eyelids feel like they're made of concrete, heavy and unwilling to open. When I finally manage to crack them apart, harsh fluorescent light stabs into my skull.

White. Everything is white. White ceiling. White walls. White sheets pulled up to my chin. The steady beep-beep-beep of machines somewhere to my left. My mouth tastes like cotton and copper, dry as desert sand. Where am I?

The memories come rushing back in a flood that makes me dizzy. Tony. The basement. Anna's scarred face twisted with rage. Sarah's laugh echoing through the burning house. Elena pointing a gun with shaking hands. The trafficking network. The conspiracy that reached into every corner of our lives like poison ivy.

But something's wrong. The memories feel... distant. Like scenes from

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    Coperate Warfare

(Tony POV)Alex Morrison's name makes my blood boil every time I see it. I'm in my office reviewing quarterly reports when Pepper knocks on my door, holding her tablet with a concerned expression."Tony, I need you to look at something. It might be important.""If it's about the Morrison Construction lawsuit, I don't want to hear it today.""It's about Alex Morrison, but not the lawsuit." She sits across from my desk. "A woman sent you several desperate messages claiming her husband is trying to kill her. Her husband is Alex Morrison."That gets my attention. I look up from my papers."Alex Morrison as in Morrison Construction? The same Alex Morrison who's been trying to destroy my company for the past two years?""The same one." Pepper hands me the tablet. "Read this. It's either the most elaborate hoax I've ever seen, or this woman is in serious danger."I read through the message, my frown deepening with each line. The story sounds insane, mercury poisoning, insurance fraud, refere

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    The Real Tony Stark

(Lily POV)The baby monitor saved my life. Through the fog of whatever poison they've been giving me, I heard every word Alex and Sarah said. Mercury poisoning. His first wife Rebecca. The plan to kill me for insurance money. The threats against Dr. Martinez's little girl.I know the truth now. I'm dying, and they're the ones killing me. My hands shake uncontrollably as I reach for the tablet Sarah left on my bedside table. She brought it yesterday, saying I could watch movies to pass the time. She has no idea I've been using it for something else entirely.Something that might save my life.I've been researching Tony Stark whenever Alex and Sarah leave the house. At first, I was terrified I'd find nothing, that Sarah was right about him being just a fantasy my damaged brain created. But he's real. Anthony Edward Stark, billionaire businessman, owner of Stark Industries. He exists. The photos online don't look exactly like the man from my dreams, but close enough to make my heart race

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    Poison and Promises

(Alex POV)The mercury is working beautifully.I watch Lily from across the living room as she struggles to lift a glass of water to her lips. Her hands shake uncontrollably, spilling drops across the front of her nightgown. The tremors started three days ago, right on schedule."Let me help you, darling," I say, crossing to her bedside with my most concerned expression."I can do it myself," she mumbles, but her words are slurred. The mercury has been affecting her speech too, another lovely side effect."Of course you can." I take the glass from her trembling hands and hold it to her lips. "But there's no shame in accepting help when you need it."She drinks gratefully, completely unaware that each sip of water, each IV drip, each meal has been carefully laced with organic mercury compounds. The beauty of mercury poisoning is how it mimics natural organ failure. By the time she dies, it will look like complications from her spinal injury.Just like it did with my first wife."How ar

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    The Doctor's Dilemma

(Dr. Martinez POV)The bruises on Lily Morrison's face are not from a fall.I've been a doctor for eight years, and I've seen enough domestic violence cases to recognize the signs. The finger-shaped marks on her cheek, the way she flinches when her husband approaches, the fear in her eyes when she looks at him, it all points to one conclusion. But what troubles me most is how wrong this whole situation feels. "Mrs. Morrison," I say gently, kneeling beside her hospital bed, "I need you to tell me exactly how you got these injuries."Her eyes darted to Alex Morrison, who stands in the corner with his arms crossed. The blonde woman, Sarah, I think her name is hovers nearby, watching every move I make."I fell," Lily whispers, so quietly I have to lean in to hear her. "Like Alex said. I tried to walk to the bathroom and my legs gave out.""And you hit your face on the coffee table?"She nods, but won't meet my eyes."What about your ribs? The pain seems severe.""I hit the kitchen counter

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    Fighting Back

(Lily POV)Something is wrong with my medication.I've been pretending to take the pills Sarah gives me for three days now, hiding them under my tongue and spitting them out when she's not looking. The fog in my brain is starting to clear, like someone finally turned on a light in a dark room. And with the clarity comes anger.Rage burns in my chest as I remember Sarah's cruel words about my "pathetic fantasy" of Tony Stark. The way she spread those magazine photos across my blanket like evidence of my mental breakdown. The satisfied smile on her face as she watched me cry.But the worst part is the growing certainty that Tony was real. The memories are too detailed, too vivid to be just dreams. I can still feel his hand in mine, still remember the exact way his voice sounded when he said my name. The contract marriage, the foundation, Anna's scarred face, none of it feels like fantasy. So why is everyone trying to convince me it was?I wait until Sarah goes upstairs for her afternoon

  • From Housewife To His Worst Ex-Wife    The New Arrangement

(Sarah POV)Playing house with Alex is even better than I imagined. I wake up every morning in what used to be Lily's bedroom, stretching lazily in the king-sized bed with Egyptian cotton sheets. Alex is already in the shower, humming some tune under his breath. Through the bathroom door, I can hear him moving around, getting ready for another day of pretending to be the devoted husband downstairs while being my lover upstairs. It's delicious.I slip on Lily's silk robe, the expensive one she got for Christmas last year and pad downstairs to check on our patient. She's exactly where we left her last night, propped up in the hospital bed we had installed in what used to be her elegant living room. She looks terrible. Her face is gaunt and pale, dark circles under her eyes like bruises. Her hair, once shiny and well-kept, hangs limp and greasy around her shoulders. The medications I've been giving her are working perfectly."Good morning, sunshine," I say cheerfully, setting down the br
