Chapter 54

Nix’s POV

Eden has not let go of my hand since we were in the attic. She is so beautiful. Her attitude sucks a little, but how else would a spoiled Princess act? It’s not really her fault they have given her everything she ever wanted. My mom raised me differently. We had nothing and appreciated everything; I saw how hard my mom worked for everything. I wish Eden had got to meet my mom.

The next best thing I guess is Vance. “Is there any chance we can slip away so I can call my dad? You know, before we go speak to your parents, I think he should know.”

She smiles at me before giving me a kiss. “Sure.” She guides me to a library. One of her dads follows us. They are not taking any risks that I might mark her. I pulled out my mobile phone. She laughs at how old it is. “What? I only need it to make calls with.” I ignored her and dialed Vance’s number.

It rings a few times. “Hi Nix,” Vance says. “Did you get there okay? We were worried when we hadn’t heard from you.”
