　　Shocked, James almost dropped his mobile phone.

\"What did you just say?\"

Even though they were speaking to each other from across the globe, the line was very clear. Danny could tell from James’s heavy breathing thathe was very upset.

He hesitated for a second, then carefully repeated his words.

\"Joey Xiao was missing.” He paused, then continued. “We have already sent people to look for him. No news yet, so far.”

“You had one job. One job. What the hell happened? How could you let this happen?”

“I don’t care how you do it. Before I get off the plane I want to hear positive results.” He hung up.

James Fu had just ended the phone call when his mother, Cora Liao, pushed the door open.

“James, you promised you’ll take Ms. Smith out for dinner today, make sure you don’t forget.”

Mrs. Fu noticed the mess on the floor. With much concern she asked, “What’s the problem? Mind if I ask?”
