The woman's eyes suddenly snapped up from her bent position and landed on me. My back strengthened and I tucked in air shrinking into myself. Did she hear my question?
I looked at the woman close to me, she wasn't moving. It was as though she has been sucked into the woman's gaze and wasn't able to move again or do anything.
“What is going on?” I asked her in a hushed time. She didn't say anything. I took my first step away from her back to Sandy. I reached there in wobble legs to discover she had laid down and was deep in sleep. Could this night grow any worse?
I tried as much as possible not to look in the woman's direction. My heart was blasting with fear. If Leo could read my mind can he feel how scared I am right now?
