The Apophians cowered in fear as they witnessed the immense azure flame wrapping my existence. I sprinted toward the direction of Apophis before he could even rise upright.

I struck him with an obsidian orb, and I saw both of them leap backward. Bryndis and Naeitha attacked them as well. It was the chance, and I took it.

I rushed and had Lothaire in my arms and he was half-conscious. Denali hurried beside me, and he produced a sphere of defense around us. I pulled the knife on the axilla of my husband, and he screamed in agony. Arwald and the other gods charged at Behitha and Apophis.

I took out the Panacea the goddess of wisdom and knowledge gave beforehand. I lifted the head of my husband whilst his eyes remained closed. I placed the vial in front of his lips as I poured the carmine liquid. “I am here,” I told him.

“My love…” he said in a stuttering voice whilst tears fell from his eyes. He
