I opened my eyes as I felt myself being shaken. My sight was hazy at first. There was a hand placed in my shoulder and a maiden stood in front of me. Her face was not familiar and she spoke, “My lady.”
She stopped what she was doing as she realized I gained consciousness in that moment. She took the weight off her feet at the edge of my bed whilst I let out a yawn. I rubbed my eyes as I sat and she arranged the pillows beside me. “Who are you?” I asked, “You entered my chamber without a key.”
