Chapter 3456 Solo Trip to Butterworth

Author: Five Generals
“This happened because Jet harmed your mother, but things are looking up. You are with your mother now. Only good things will come now,” Kaze said composedly.

The smile on his face showed that Kaze was in a good mood.

“You’re right, Chairman Lee. It’s not my fault. I shouldn’t blame myself.”

Snow felt bad at first, but Kaze’s assurance pointed her in the right direction.

“Are you planning to head there alone, Chairman Lee? Should I make sure you have backup?

“Buffy is more than happy to go with you, but she’s not involved in the matter whatsoever. Maybe it’s best that she doesn’t get sucked into this.”

Snow wanted to find Kaze a companion, but no one seemed to be ideal.

She would make the best companion, but she needed to be with her mother.

“Don’t worry about it. I’ll sort it out.”

Kaze glanced at May, and the latter seemed to be in better spirits. Still, May needed time to regain consciousness.

“Stay here and look after your mother. Call me if you need anything. I

Kaze remembered the guy. The middle-aged man wore a dark brown shirt. He looked dejected and sad. However, he looked at Kaze as if he was his last hope. The middle-aged man took a brisk walk and tried to grab Kaze’s hands. “Who are you? I don’t know you.” Kaze backed away warily. “You don’t know me, but I’ve seen the things you did.” The man’s eyes lit up as if he had witnessed something unbelievable. “You asked about me outside Serenity 37. I found out later that you were there on a rescue mission,” the man said excitedly and made himself known. Kaze recalled who he was. The dejected man was torn, unable to choose between his wife and kid. “What can I do for you?” Despite knowing his intention, Kaze might not be able to help. “I don’t know who you are, but I know you managed to get a patient out of Serenity 37. I need a favor. Can you bring my wife and kid back to me?” Clark looked at Kaze earnestly, his eyes pleading. Even though the man had no idea who Kaze was

“We are desperate. Otherwise, we won’t come to you for help.”Cornered, Clark had to resort to desperate measures. He did not want to beg others on his knees, but he had to swallow his pride for the sake of his family. Feeling sorry, Kaze sighed and helped the dejected man up. “What’s the situation? Tell me.” Kaze could offer help, but he needed an idea of the situation. Clark saw hope. Just when Clark thought he would hit a deadline, Kaze gave him hope. “My child is hurt. He needed urgent care, so we headed to Serenity 37.” Clark gave the full story. Despite being aware of Serenity 37’s rules, the family took their chances. Upon arrival at Serenity 37, the family of the patient must get a blood test to determine whether they were a match for organ donation. If they were matched with a patient, the family member must donate their organs.Clark and his wife understood the point. However, there was a chance that they would not need to donate their organs. It was all

“I have a tiny business with a turnover of a million bucks a year. You can take over the business. “I have a house and two commercial properties, but the title deeds are under my wife’s name. Once she’s out of the hospital, I can transfer the deeds to your name.” At this point, Clark was willing to give up all his assets in exchange for his family’s health. “You are considerably well-off, and your business is making a profit. I’m sure you can afford the hospital bill. Why are you giving up your assets to me?” Kaze thought it was strange. Surely, the expenses at Serenity 37 were not more than the family could afford. “There’s no talking to the management at Serenity 37. My child’s hospital bill is 50 million dollars, and all my family’s combined assets are not enough to cover the expenses. I wanted to pay in installments, but that’s not an option.“The institution expects my wife to donate a kidney to get free surgery for my kid, and only then, my wife and kid will be allowed

“Thank you, Mr. Lee.” Clark looked at the name on the business card and felt assured. Though he had never heard of Kaze before, the title on the card listed the chairman of Perfect World Group. His wife and kid would be safe if an influential man like Kaze offered his help. “I hope you can keep to your promise and owe me one. I would expect the return of the favor.” Kaze may not want the favor back, but a promise was a promise. “Rest assured, Mr. Lee. I will pay you back promptly. What I have, I’ll give to you.” Seeing hope, Clark was in better spirits. He looked at Kaze enthusiastically. “Give me a call if you need anything. You don’t have to call me when your problem is solved.” Kaze was in a rush to catch the train. With the issues in Riverbank straightened out, he should head to Butterworth. He wondered if Venom managed to make her escape. However, it was no easy feat to run away from Hades’ Hand. Kaze had too many important businesses to pay attention t

Clark explained everything to his wife as they got their child transferred out of Serenity 37.Erin did not understand why Kaze would help them. However, Erin could feel her husband’s determination to save the family at the cost of bankruptcy. She knew she married the right man. “We should thank Mr. Lee, but there’s no telling whether we will see him again.” Erin was grateful to her husband for putting the family first. She was also thankful for a stranger’s kindness. Most importantly, not everybody would do so much for a stranger. It was fifty million dollars. Not everybody could afford this kind of money. Kaze was a kind soul who trusted a stranger wholeheartedly and forked out so much money. Clark understood that he had been brash, but his family’s lives were at stake. “We can breathe easy now. You need to rest well. Once we are in better spirits, we can visit Mr. Lee with gifts. I stumbled upon his address. I will stroll around the area in the next few days.” C

Kaze was able to go back to his seat when the girl approached to snack on the tidbits. She must be hungry. While munching on food, the girl looked out the door as if waiting for someone. Killing time, Kaze checked out the small lounge. He did not comment on anything about the girl. The girl happened to cock her head back. Noticing that Kaze was staring, she made a mean face. “What are you looking at?” Leah Lyfe had a temper. She was heading home after a trip. Her trip was not supposed to end so quickly, but her plan was ruined by one person. She needed to make haste back to Butterworth, and Leah was not pleased. The fact that her mother would pick her up at the train station only to annoy her further. Her mother was the CEO of the Northborn Group. While she enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle, it was at the cost of her freedom. She was not keen on having anyone control her life, but her mother’s control issues left her without much room to breathe. Instead of responding to Leah, Kaze grabbed his luggage and walked away. Anxious, Leah dragged her suitcase right behind him. Kaze did not want to spend another minute with her, so he picked up the pace. He lost her during check-in. Just when Kaze was able to make his way down to the boarding area, a commotion stirred in the back. He looked back and saw the girl being stopped by a handsome man. The man in the suit, without any luggage, seemed to be in a rush. Minding his own business, Kaze headed straight to the boarding area. Once Kaze got to his seat, he was ready for a shut-eye. The trip to Butterworth would take several hours, so he could catch some sleep on the train. Kaze must have been exhausted because he quickly dozed off. He wore an eye mask in case the light caught his eyes. A nearby couple was pretty disruptive when Kaze was trying to get some rest. The quiet carriage only amped up the noise. The couple bickered without concern for others. More acc

“I might be able to put up with you if you didn’t cheat on me, but we’re way past that now.” Leah was firm on that note. There was no way Leah could look past the cheating. “She didn’t mean anything to me. You should know that given our social standing, we have plenty of women around. At least we don’t bring our mistresses home.” Perry believed he was gracious enough. Leah was not having it. Sure, Perry came from a rich family. However, Leah’s mother was the CEO of the Northborn Group. Leah also came from money. Though Perry belonged to the Butterworth Duncans, he had a huge family. Perry might not be competent enough to succeed the family business. Perry and Leah got along before. Drawn by Perry’s hot pursuit, Leah dated him. However, it did not take Perry long to look at other girls. Leah was not that into him anyway. She was quick to break things off with him. To her dismay, Perry tagged along on her trip and ruined her plans. Annoyed, Leah did not want to ha

Morris was in his study, wiping a plaque of commandments that was covered in dust. Due to his commitment to the Viper’s Den, he had neglected his family for years and left his son in his wife’s care. Morris regretted doing so. Unaware of the impending danger, Clemont enjoyed drinks with his friends. They were having fun, playing drinking games. Losing the game, Clemont downed a glass of liquor. Things could get far and exciting in a game. It was then that the door swung open. Clemont’s driver entered the room. “Young Master Siegfried, the master is waiting for you at home,” the driver said, noting the complexity of the situation. The only thing on his mind was to take Clemont away. Tipsy from the drinks, Clemont waved his arm. “Let him wait. What’s the rush to get home?” Clemont’s friends were shocked. Nothing scared Clemont like his father. However, Clemont toughened up for once. “Young Master Siegfried, why don’t you call it a night?” “Yeah. I’m sur

“What’s that supposed to mean? When have I ever made a mistake?” Morris heard nothing of that sort. It could only mean that his people had done nothing wrong. However, Edmund could not possibly get aggressive on the phone. Something must have happened, and he simply had no idea. Morris felt unsettled like something big was about to happen. “You seem to be lax when managing your people. You don’t seem to know what goes on around your house.“Is your age getting to you? Is that why you can’t handle most of the work? If you can’t get your own house in order, how will you ever manage the Viper’s Den Westeros Branch?” Edmund called to say his piece. It was his way to make Morris step down. Though it was likely that Morris would resign, Edmund could at least make things unpleasant for him. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Morris was completely in the dark, but Edmund must hold some secret to act so cocky. Despite his troubled feelings, Morris kept his cool and calmly aske

Since it was a rare opportunity, Edmund had to settle the score with them properly. He knew opportunities like this were hard to come by so he had to seize them well. “I understand. I will take care of the guest,” Rosie said. She was glad that her information was useful to her boss. After Edmund hung up the phone, Rosie then looked at the unconscious Kaze. “You are indeed more useful than I thought. Hardly anyone has ever managed to impress Edmund.” She did not feel sorry for Kaze, believing that everything happened as it was meant to. She knew that to climb higher, she had to please her superior. With the Wittersons on the rise, now was the perfect time for her to pledge her loyalty to Edmund. When the Wittersons truly took over the Westeros Branch, she would become one of the most powerful people in the city, second only to them. She was looking forward to that day. Since Kaze was fast asleep and no arrangements could be made, Rosie went out to call her men and

“If you are not here to have fun, then why did you come to Westeros?” Rosie asked. Kaze looked like he had one glass too many and could barely keep himself awake. When he looked up at Rosie, he felt lightheaded and could not keep his balance. “I am here to c-complete my mission.” Kaze could not even speak clearly, seemingly already drunk. Rosie let out a breath of relief. She then took his glass away. Kaze fell onto the couch lazily and adjusted himself into a comfortable position. He even had a hiccup. Rosie did not mind Kaze passing out in front of her. She got up and then squatted in front of him. “What is your mission here in Westeros?” She did not expect to fish out useful information from Kaze, but now she could bring this information to Edmund and exchange it for a reward. “I am here to solve the problem. Something happened here in the Viper’s Den and I am here to find out more. After that, someone else will take over,” Kaze muttered as he closed his eyes.

Rosie’s charm and beauty were reasons why she was able to run the club smoothly. No matter what happened, she possessed the capabilities to solve it without exacerbating it. All those aspects made Edmund choose her. A qualified employee trusted to run a business did not need to be a genius. One only needed to carefully operate the business and not cause trouble for the employer. That alone would be enough. “There’s indeed someone powerful who gave me a chance but I want to use my own strength to win their recognition.” Rosie was well aware that due to her beauty, many often looked down and underestimated her. She had to stay sharp and clear-headed to avoid unnecessary trouble. “That might be a little difficult but I believe you got what it takes,” Kaze said with a serious tone as if he knew Rosie well. “Thank you for your kind words. I hope everything turns out as expected.” She did not have to worry about that because Edmund fully trusted her and put her in charge of m

Clemont let out a breath of relief when he saw that his friends were not saying anything more. He brought them somewhere else to party. He spent a lot in a single night but he finally gained the respect that he longed for. Back at the club, after Clemont and his friends left, the corridor to the VIP section finally quieted down. The waiters cleaned up the place and then returned to their work. Kaze stayed back and looked at Rosie, waiting for her response. “Thank you for today. I would be hurt if not for you,” she said, expressing her gratitude. She was surprised that Kaze intervened but she was truly grateful for his help. “It’s nothing.” Kaze waved his hand nonchalantly and then wanted to return to his own room. “Why don’t I take care of the bill for you tonight? Consider it as a token of gratitude since you saved me from getting hurt,” Rosie said. Her interest in Kaze was piqued, wondering who he really was. She knew he was from Butterworth and had heard that

Clemont was born with a silver spoon and raised like a prince as he was the youngest in the family. He knew his father’s current situation, which explained why he behaved arrogantly. He thought his actions could help his father but little did he know, they were causing a huge trouble. Kaze made it verbal but the spoiled brat did not appreciate the warning and simply felt annoyed. “What do I mean? I guess you have to ask your father about it.” Kaze looked at Clemont coldly. There was no way a useless trust-fund baby could achieve anything great under the protection of his family. Every action that Clemont took was causing damage to his family. Kaze initially intended to use the Siegfrieds to his advantage, which explained why he did not act immediately. Now that Clemont had come under his radar, Kaze ought to use the chance. He managed to showcase his strength to Rosie earlier and what he said to Clemont would surely raise more suspicion in her. Kaze must come up wit

Rosie was shocked. She almost got kicked by some spoiled brat. She was not happy about it. She revered Clemont’s background and had been tolerant with the brat but he stepped over the line when he decided to be physical. Rosie looked up to Kaze who was hugging her. He was just outside the crowd and decided to step in when he heard the commotion. She did not expect him to save her. It was a surprise but it allowed her to see his capabilities. The man from Butterworth had been hiding his abilities from everyone all along. Rosie smiled at him before getting back up on her feet. “Thank you for your help,” she said softly. “It’s nothing. It’s the right thing to do,” Kaze said. Kaze was the type of person who could never stand seeing the weak being bullied. “Who the hell are you? What do you think you are doing?” Clemont bellowed. He was outraged and needed to vent his emotions. Since Kaze had intervened, it gave Clemont a chance to lash out at him. “Stop causing a

“I told you this is my club! They have to listen to me! Now open the damn door!” Clemont was furious after being questioned. He started to kick the door like a madman. The waiters were worried but they dared not do anything. “Young Master Siegfried, there are guests inside! VIP guests!” the waiter added. He dared not reveal the identity of the guest inside. Zidane informed all employees earlier that no one shall reveal the VIP guest’s identity or even mention that the suite was booked by Edmund. It was to keep things low. Therefore, the waiter dared not speak any of it even to Clemont. Unfortunately, Clemont stubbornly believed the waiter was lying to him. “What guests?! You’re lying to me! You said there were guests inside but even after I kicked the door, there was no answer! Open it up. Don’t be stupid!” he shouted. He cared not about the others when he shouted. He was impulsive at nature. “Young Master Siegfried, there are guests inside. You can’t do this,” the
