I looked at Lance intently as he was sitting in front of me holding medicine and a glass of water.

“I don’t want to,” I told him again. “I won’t die from a headache.” I added.

I had no choice but to go with him because it looked like it would be a while before a taxi would pass by that place, especially since it was late at night.

Now I felt like I regretted going with him, and maybe I should have just walked until I found a taxi.

He insisted on taking me to the hospital, and just after I had done a CT scan of my head like he wanted, he forced me to drink a painkiller.

“To ease your headache,” he insisted.

“I don’t want to take medicine as long as I can,” I told him again.

“Here, sir. You can give this to your wife.”

I looked intently at the nurse who came up to us while handling a cold compress.

Lance took the cold compress from the nurse and just nodded. After the nurse left, he looked back at me, and I turned my sharp gaze to him.
