CHAPTER 53
Shawn shot from his chair and launched himself toward his wife, who was leaning the table. Her face was pale. Isabelle was taking quick, panting breaths. One of Shawn's arms went around her waist to help support her. The other hand cupped her cheek and lovingly lifted her bowed head.
“Sweetheart! My sweet Belle!” he whispered worriedly.
“Don’t worry, my love, I’m already feeling much better” she assured him with a feeble smile. "A little dizzy spell. Maybe I just got too warm. Or maybe it was something I ate that didn't set well with me. We should go out on the terrace and get some fresh air, what do you say?”
