Alpha Derick’s POV

“I have to leave,” I spoke in a hurry and tried to leave the bed, but the pain in my arm shot through me. “You have to please lay back; you are not fully healed,” he said, and a frown spread across my face. “Why am I still injured? Is there no healer here?” I asked the man, and he sighed. “We couldn't get a healer because we didn't want anyone to know that you are here since we don't know who was involved in planning your death," he explained, and I sighed. Indeed, he was right.

"Thank you, but I have to leave now. I don't know what has become of my wife and my son, even my pack," I spoke in worry, and the man smiled. "You mean Luna Victoria?" He asked, and I raised a brow at him, curious to know what he wanted to say to me. "Luna Victoria is the caretaker of your pack until your son Aidan is of age, but we heard your beta is fighting her for it." "That bastard," I grunted. Now I knew his plan; his plan was to kill me and take my pack.
