LOGINThe next morning in the dining room, Ava and Ryan were having their breakfast with his father, Eric. They were happily conversing and chatting away with lots of smiles. Until... Anna walked in on them, her loud and fast footsteps had them turning slightly. “You all are happy, eating and drinking to your heart's content while my son and his girlfriend are locked in one of the dog's kennels?!” She snapped at no one in particular, whoever her words were deemed for would likely respond. Eric was the first to break the silence in the room, his shocked face was no less than Ava's face. Ava took a short glance at Ryan, he didn't stop eating, almost as if his older sister's words were nothing. She thought that she had heard it all until Anna spoke about Matt and Agnes whereabouts. “Did you..?” She questioned him in a low tone. “Don't try to pretend like you don't know about this! This has been your doing from the start, you hate my son so much that you want to have him punished for no
Anna's eyes grew large, she gulped down hard before forcing a frown to settle upon her face. She scanned the room in search of something until she met with her brother's eyes again. “What do you think you're doing here, Anna?!” Ryan's tone was harsh and impatient. His eyes locked on his older sister's eyes. He knew she was here for one of her evil reasons. “My son, where is Matt? I haven't seen him and Agnes ever since you asked them to come prepare this room for her..” Her voice was rather shaky giving away her lie instantly. Ryan's brows raised, he saw right through her lie. He took a glance at the woman on his bed, once he noticed her chest rising and falling, every murderous instinct in him relaxed. “Your son is paying for his foolishness. Leave, if she wakes up because of your noise, I'm going to double his punishment..”Anna pursed her lips, she badly wanted to ask more questions regarding Matt's whereabouts but she couldn't for the fear of Ryan doing exactly as he had said
Ava snapped her head to the door with a sad look on her face. She touched her neck and shook her head slowly which had Ryan freezing the room with his cold glare. Ryan closed the gap between them and scooped Ava into his arms. His eyes fell on the two who were stricken with fear and confusion in their eyes. “What did they do to you? Tell me!” He snapped. A million and one thoughts running through his mind on what to do to them if they really did say or do something to Ava.Ava lifted her head, her eyes red and teary. “No Ryan, I don't want you to get in trouble for hurting them.”Ryan's jaw clenched, the more her eyes watered, the worse his anger rose. He brought his finger under her chin and raised her head up to stare into her eyes. “Mia, tell me..” He urged through clenched teeth. Ava sniffed bringing her finger under her eyelids to wipe her fake tears. “Uh..He said that I'm a bitch who is set out to destroy you and he won't mind slitting my throat if he gets the chance. And
The dining room was oddly quiet, all eyes were on Ava who was eating away on her meal. It was obvious from the way they looked at her that they were having certain doubts about reality. She does look like the late Ava but not the same eyes and hair. Her eyes and hair could be altered too but they all watched her coffin lowered into her grave a month ago. So it wasn't possible, Eric seemed to have gotten out of his shock completely. He had no reason to fear anymore since he didn't kill Ava, only those who did couldn't shake off the lurking fear no matter how they tried. “The least you could have done is to invite us to your wedding. I know we fight over minor things but I'm still your father and being a part of your wedding is my fatherly right..”“No” Ryan denied, although he was talking to his father, his eyes lingered on Ava who was eating. He brushed her hair behind her ear carefully. “It’s my wedding and only I can choose who to honor my invite or not. Clearly, you weren't part
After a few hours of being to herself and cursing her fate, Ava was determined to punish Agnes and Matt for what they did to her and her unborn baby. She gently got out of bed but staggered a little. Her legs haven't moved for a month after she fell into a coma. Luckily, she didn't injure her spine from that fall or break any major bones. The old maid saw her trying to move but rushed forward to stop her. “No ma'am, tell me if you need anything and I'll get it for you..”“I want to leave.” Her eyes were red and swollen. She shrugged off the maid's hold on her and took a step forward only to stop after the door opened. The intimidating dark and tall figure strode into the room. His grey eyes pinned on her little and slender frame, he moved his head a little gesturing for the maid to leave. After she did, he settled his gaze back on Ava. “Who are you? I need to leave this minute..”“I'm Ryan, Ryan Manchester. And also your savior” He proudly declared.Ava's lips parted. His last n
Beep! Beep! Beep! The machines in the operating theatre kept ringing on and on. The group of surgeons were desperately trying to save the life of the mother and child on the operating table but neither of the two seemed to respond to any treatment. Meanwhile outside the theatre, Matt and Agnes sat on a bench. They tapped their foot impatiently on the floor waiting eagerly for the bad news to be announced to them. “Cockroach! How long will it take for her to die?!” Agnes fired irritably. Ava already knows too much and needs to die for their plans to succeed. They wouldn't have brought her to the hospital to get treatment if not for the servants who called the ambulance after seeing Ava covered in a pool of her own blood.Due to the stab on Ava's baby bump, the hospital strictly told them to involve the cops before they could commence the operation on Ava, otherwise they'd have written it off as an accidental fall. They didn't bother involving the Cops since they both want Ava dea
