LOGINLater that night.. Ava chose to stay up all night waiting for Ryan's return. She had lost count of how many hours she sat on the couch staring at the clock's hands moving. Seconds turned into minutes and minutes into hours. At this point it was already past eleven and Ryan wasn't home yet. She had no idea that she was crying until a tear slipped off her eyes. All her efforts to find out what really happened went down the drain. There was no one else that she could turn to except from Roland but the latter doesn't know what's up with Ryan either. In the past days, he had been acting kinda guilty about something. He mostly avoided eye contact with her, the kind of look he wore was that of a person who has made a big mistake. Ava's body couldn't handle the stress anymore, her eyes closed slowly until she fell fast asleep on that spot. About thirty minutes later, slow steps approached the couch where a lady lay peacefully in a deep sleep. Ryan's steps were calculated and so
The next morning.. The sound of a car driving in had Ava snapping her eyes open immediately. She warped her head around her surroundings only to find Roland seated on the couch opposite hers. He was deeply concentrated on his phone and the second he noticed that she was awake, he tucked it away and stood to his feet. “Ma'am, you're awake—”Ava broke her gaze off him, she pulled the blanket off her body and rushed to her feet. Her sleep was clearly disturbed by a car driving in. “Is he back yet?” She cut in sharply, eyes searching the living room frantically. “I heard a car pull in just now—”“Good morning boss,”Ava's head snapped in the door's direction. She heaved a deep sigh when she finally spotted her husband walking in. “Ryan, thank goodness you're okay. Where were you?” She questioned in a breath, rushing up to close up the distance between them. Just when she was close enough, she made an attempt to embrace him only for him to take a step back which shocked her greatly.
“What?!”Matt sprang up to his feet immediately. There was a visible rage oozing out of him after his short-lived happiness turned out to be a big farce. “That is insane! My father would never do that!” Anna added. Ava's hands instantly went to her belly. It means that their child gets it all. She met Ryan's gaze but was not in the least excited about this. “My uncle has no kids! I'm sure there's something you're not telling us..”“Actually there's more.” The lawyer announced again. “You might want to take a seat to hear this, big sis.” Ryan mocked. “Speak!” Anna ordered. “If by any chance the baby dies from a suspicious activity before or after he or she is born, half of the property goes to the mother and the other half goes to charity. And if the mother dies under questionable circumstances, everything goes to charity.”Anna fell back on her seat, she brought her hand to her temple massaging it gently. “And what if they both die?” Philip suddenly spoke gaining all the atten
The living room was swallowed by the thick silence. Eyes blinked in fright and lips smacked impatiently. They were all waiting to see what might befall Greg once he shows up. Ryan already ordered his men to ruffle him up if he shows any sign of aggression. Unfortunately for Anna, her husband wasn't one who thinks with a cool head. He's more likely to get trashed up on his way here. “Ryan we can sort this out as a family. Don't make things even worse—” “Family?” Ryan cut in with a loud snort. “You can't spell that word not to talk of actually knowing the meaning of it.” “You're my brother!” She persisted, her voice shaky. She knew. She knew him too well, a lot will go down today. “Maybe when I was five or fifteen if your old ass can recall that far. Right now, I see you as an enemy that I'm so eager to claw.” Silence returned on both ends as soon as Ryan was done speaking. He noticed the way his sister was fidgeting on her seat. The scene in the room seemed to please him
Anna’s brows rose sharply as she stared at her phone’s screen. It was a new email notification from her younger brother requesting for an urgent and compulsory family gathering. A frown settled upon her face while she continued scanning through the content of the message.“He must be kidding—”“Mum!”Matt called out walking in large strides to where his mum was standing, his gaze solely focused on his phone screen.“Look what uncle just sent—” He paused, noticing her foul mood and her lit up phone screen. “You already saw it.”“Your brother has clearly lost his mind! Who does he think he is?!” Greg's annoyed voice broke into the room. His wife and son turned their heads to his direction, they also noticed that he was glaring furiously at his phone They all received the same message from Ryan. “I knew it.” Anna murmured. “I knew Ryan would never go silent for days. He was busy plotting and he has managed to trap us—”“Not us, he has managed to trap you. I will not step my foot into

He pulled her closer to himself and lifted her off the ground. Her legs settled around his thin waist.Everything flashed before Ava's eyes in seconds. One moment she was standing and the next moment she was in Ryan's arms. Their deep breaths matched as Ryan approached the large bed. He gently laid Ava on the bed and hovered over her, their lips still locked. Their tongues and lips danced in sync. They both tugged at each other's clothes impatiently trying to get the obstacles off their paths , it felt as though they'd both been starved of the other for a very long while. Ava's lips parted slightly when Ryan pulled away from her. His eyes fell on her face and slowly his gaze lowered to her mounds still cupped up in her red bra.H
Agnes turned Matt’s swivel seat to the door as soon as it opened. She was on a red gown with thin strap which showed off a fair amount of her mounds, in a bid to seduce him like always. The second she saw Matt staggering into the room while blood dripped out of his right fingers, her smile vanishe
All night, Ava was unable to shut her eyes. Ryan’s words kept on ringing and playing out in her head, she’d finally be able to get her long awaited revenge on Matt and his family for how badly she was treated and almost killed. She stepped out of her bed and walked slowly to the vanity table, her g
“Boss I swear, it wasn't intentional. It just slipped right out of my tongue when he was choking me up with questions.” Roland apologized softly, he docked his gaze off Ryan's intense stare. “You've known me for years now, I will never betray you in this manner. I just—”Ryan waved his hand slightl
Meanwhile..Ava was getting worried and worked up since Ryan hadn't returned after leaving a while ago. He asked her not to worry about him and go to bed on time but here she was pacing around her room and staring at the clock occasionally. It was already past bedtime, she found her way back to the
