Chapter 9(broke spell?)

They both together brought the statue out of the jeep and for each and every movement of theirs, Lily screamed making them to pause on their steps as she is worried of not hurting the statue. They brought it and placed it inside her room.

Though she opposed that, they placed it inside for her to get scared in the night as a punishment. Since they both know how much a scaredy cat she is for darkness and a statue in a dark will be more fun to tease her.

“Now tell me, why did you go all the way at night to bring this statue” Steve asked curiously. Lily who was checking the statue for any scratches turned at Steve.

“Ahh.. I.. I.. I felt if this statue was not destroyed as per Robert’s instruction, you will land in trouble and so I decided to rescue this statue” she said nervously and the voice echoed in her head with a scoff.

“So, you went and risked yourself? Seriously? did you think I will buy this?” He asked narrowing his eyes at her with his hands on the pocket. She smiled sheepishly
