​Chapter 2(darkness?)

15 years later...

Darkness was surrounded everywhere in that area, even moon is not ready to show its light to help its people. There was no sound heard from the forest except for some whispers and some faint breaths that were heard inside that dark eerie Forest.

The only light seen in the forest was campfire, that was lit by the crew near that forest lake. After a few hours, hurried footsteps echoed in the place for the people sitting by the lake to turn towards the direction.

A bulk man with a batch of 10 looking extremely dangerous men reached the crew, and the bulk man started talking with breathless voice,

“Your highness, we found the way to reach the coven” head warrior Zion said by bowing his head down.

“Good, then we will attack without wasting time” With anger evident all over the face he replied.

“But Prince, we will do that, and we.. we don’t want to lose you.”

“ What? do you mean I should runaway like a scaredy cat? How can you ​​expect me to stay out of it.”

“I’m sorry your royal highness, I didn’t mean to offend you in that way but.. she is powerful and if we lose you, we cannot show up to the king and the kingdom. We will have no future without you. You are our future king” the head warrior pleads kneeling on the ground.

But it didn’t shake the heart of the Prince which was burning for revenge.

“You think I can’t defeat her? I will kill her and.. for you all I will give you choice, One, you follow my order. Two, go back to the kingdom.  NOW, which is your choice.”

“But...”

“No buts, I have to do this to avenge my mom and help her out of the curse. If anyone wants to stop, then I guess they have to return to the kingdom or will die in my hands” He said determinedly and then each and every warrior looked at each other and joined in the discussion of attack plan not because of the threat but to support their prince.

Soon those people started walking towards a direction led by the head warrior, and surrounded a small hut that looked like a haunted one.

Inside the hut, there was a soft music playing and the witch was enjoying her little victory of cursing the queen and getting what she has waited for years to happen. Her ears perked up at the sound of faint footsteps amidst the music inside her hut and she smirked evilly.

Faraway from the forest inside a kingdom echoed the people’s cries for their beloved queen who was cursed to die within 10 days. The King and his subordinates were anxiously waiting for the arrival of the warriors and their beloved prince with the perfect solution for rescuing their queen.

“Your Majesty, please be calm. Our Prince will definitely succeed in defeating that evil witch and bring the solution to lift the curse casted on our queen” the royal counsellor tried to console his King.

“But that witch is powerful than she was before, I’m worried about him” The King said with a frown on his face.

“Your Majesty, Our Prince is more powerful than anyone could think, please be assured that we will receive the good news” he said reminding the king which successfully made the anxious King to relax a little.

Soon their talks were interrupted with the footsteps echoed in the hallway and the door to the room where king was, opened immediately revealing the breathless guard standing with a scared look.

The King turned towards him with a questioning look,

“Your Majesty… our prince…” the guard stuttered to say,

“Did he arrive? Did he able to destroy that witch?” The king was anxious to know the information but was met with a heart shattering revelation, when the warriors stepped inside the room with...

Brringggg… Brringgggg…

“Aahhh” along with the groaning sound heard the sound of the alarm clock crashing into pieces all over the floor.

Shane came running to the room looked at the alarm clock into pieces, he looked back at his elder sister Lily sitting on the bed and holding her head tightly.

She opened her eyes slowly, revealing her sleepy but beautiful brown eyes. She looked down and found the pieces of alarm clock and gasped in horror.

She looked up and found her brother keeping his left hand on his forehead and shaking his head in disbelief.

“in this month this is the fifth alarm clock” Shane sighed saying that.

“then Why the hell, will you place the alarm clock here Shane?” She asked holding her head which was throbing.

“huh? Hello sister it’s because we can’t afford 4^th mobile or its repairing service in three months”

She glared at him and got up from her bed, while folding the sheets she asked him,

“What time is it?”

“Its 7.30am” he said and Lily turned around to face him in horror,

“What? I’m late.. I’m Late… OH MY GOD.. Why didn’t you wake me up sooner?” She asked hurriedly placing the blankets and running to the closet, randomly fetching some clothes.

“Huh? Why didn’t I wake you? Seriously? Can’t you see the condition of alarm clock” he said to which she rolled her eyes and dashed inside the bathroom to get ready. Shane shook his head and went out to get ready for his school.

After few minutes of hurried bath and wearing the clothes with little make-up, Lily rushed out to the empty house and sighed.

As usual, Shane made her a sandwich and left for school on his own. Grabbing the sandwich, she ran to the bus stop to catch her bus. She couldn't help but think of Shane on the way, she is older but he helped her with everything and never once blamed her for not helping him or take him to school or make breakfast.

They are not even siblings by blood and both were orphan, she still remembers the day she met him near a river wrapped in a towel and crying his lungs out for milk. He was three months old and she was 6yrs old when that happened.

She was furious why would anyone throw a child like a garbage but still without thinking any other thing she embraced him and went to a nearby orphanage and they both lived their early life in that orphanage.

But couldn’t proceed to stay there when Shane noticed that his sister was sexually harassed by the staffs in the orphanage and he, in his ten years of age grabbed the stuffs they needed.

Taking hold of lily’s hand, he took her out of that hell they thought of as heaven, not bothered about the darkness of night.

On their way out, they met with an old couple who gave them shelter, Lily worked almost four part time jobs to pay for her brother’s school and her part time courses.

Her thoughts of reminiscing the past came to an halt when she noticed that the stop for City Museum was reached. She Jumped out of the bus and started walking towards the City Museum.

She hurried inside but was tripped falling down by the sudden intrusion of the mop stick. She stood up groaning, rubbing the nose and forehead that hit the hard floor.

When she got up, she heard the burst of laughter in the reception area of the museum, and found the maid who was mopping the floor laughing along with the staffs and Regina the receptionist laughing as well. She glared at them and dusted her clothes and walked towards the Staff register to sign.

But when she was about to sign the register book, it was snatched by Regina,

“Hey… I haven’t signed yet” Lily yelled,

“mmhmm. Its already late so you are not allowed to sign it” Regina shrugged her shoulders keeping the register aside.

“How come its late.. see I still have 5 mins time left” she said angrily but Regina gave her a boring look.

Ahem… Throat clearing of sound made the people around the reception area to look at the person.
