Divert my mind

“It’s fine. It’s fine.” Ethan patted her back trying to calm her down. He then banged the door of the elevator and instantly he heard a man’s voice.

“Don’t worry sir. We are trying to open the door. Just give us some time.”

Ethan heaved a sigh of relief and then again turned to look at the girl. With what little he could see, he realized that Hazel was actually having a panic attack. He again held her gently trying to calm her down. “See, the guards are here. Within no time the door will be opened. Relax.”

“I… I cannot breath boss. I am dying.” She nodded her head as tears dropped down from her eyes. “Help me… he.. help me.”

“Take deep breaths.” He patted her head and touched her arm realizing that the girl was extremely cold. He was now really worried for her and was constantly patting her back. “Just take your mind off from this situation. Close your eyes… if it helps.” He wiped away her tears and Hazel closed her eyes trying to calm down.
