44– Somebody’s watching

18h00. Hunter darted at the time on his phone. Rob Holland had not even bothered to call. What kind of father was he, really? Clearly a useless one. As Hunter thought, he fiddled with the pendant of his chain. Whatever Rob Holland was doing to try and gather up the money, he had to do it fast.

Hunter's phone began buzzing in his hands.

It was his house help, Lolita.

“Hello?” He answered.

“Yes. Hello, sir.” She responded.

She had been working for him ever since he moved out of King's place but this was the first time they were talking on a call. Was something wrong? With her children, perhaps?

“Is something wrong, Lolita?”

“Uh...” She felt a little embarrassed to lay her case. Hunter had always helped her by paying extra every week for her kids' transport to school. And whenever she had a problem, he was always eager to pull more cash out of his wallet and hand it to her.
