《Avery's POV》
The ward was silent for a few seconds before Jenny spoke out;
"And I know I shouldn't be saying this..." She paused as she sat up.
Savannah instantly moved to help her by arranging some pillows behind her so she would be comfortable.
"...but I'm glad that Liam is finally dead." She added. The ward instantly turned back silent when they noticed my change in mood.
"I'm sorry but that's the truth and we all know it! Liam will never let Avery live in peace for the rest of her life he was still alive." Jenny explained.
Savannah sighed softly before nodding in agreement;
"Jenny is right. Liam had already gone too far after taking you both and torturing Jenny..." She whispered as she patted Jenny's palm softly.
"...if he wasn't stopped, he would have done worse."
"I know that... he was planning to mark and rape me when be realized that he was cornered." I muttered with sad chuckle.
"What the hell!!"
Diana stared at him silently for a while, as she wasn't sure of how to react. Her son, her only child, her joy.... has been dead for two days and she didn't even know!Her lips quivered and she finally burst into hot tears. Her loud cries echoed in the ward while Alexander tried so hard to console her but it was difficult.He was hurting too and wasn't sure how he would calm her down. This was the biggest loss they've ever had. It was their son, their only child. Diana cried till she had no tears to shed anymore.Then, she turned to face her husband;"I need to see him. I still can't believe it. I need to see to be sure he's dead. Take me to him!" She pleaded but he could only shake his head."You can't leave this hospital. That was the order left by the council elders." He announced."What?? Why?? I can't even see my boy??" She asked tearfully."I'm afraid so. You broke a lot of rules Diana and you abused your position amd power. Thi
《Crescent moon pack's hospital》The moment Diana's eyes snapped open, thr first thing she did was to call out for her son instinctively."Liam?" She asked as her eyes wandered around her surroundings only for her to find out that she was alone in a ward in the pack's hospital."What am I doing here? Liam?" She asked no one in particular as her voice became louder and had more anxiety in it.It definitely wasn't good because the last thing she remembered was Avery attacking her and knocking her out using the drug she had initially planned to use on her.And her son, Liam, he was unconscious because the same witch had made him that way. She needed to go to him, to see how he is. Is he at the hospital with her too? Did he survive the attack??She had no way of telling because she couldn't even feel his presence again. It made her really worried so she decided to go search for him. At least, someone brought her to this hospital; it has to be him!She pushed the covers off her body and was
"Isn't that Madison??"Startled, Marcus instantly turned back. "Avery???" He asked as he turned the laptop away from my view."Are you watching the footage that was left in the envelope?" I asked, ignoring his question."Yes.. I don't think you sho..""Then let's watch it together." I muttered and turned the laptop back to my view before clicking on the play button. I noticed he wanted to argue but he quickly held back his words. Good.The footage continued and I noticed a frightened looking on the woman's as she stared at a younger version of Madison."Madison.. what are you doing here?" The woman asked, her eyes bulging out of their sockets.Madison smiled and walked closer to the midwife."What do you think?" She asked back, collecting the baby from the midwife."You did this? You kidnapped me??" She woman asked again.Kidnapped??Madison didn't reply. She just stared at the baby in her arm. Just then, t
I let out a tired and frustrated sigh before writing down my number on the sheet of paper. After that, I handed it over to the woman."Alright then, you'll receive the result in a few hours time." The woman said as she placed the paper carefully inside her drawer."Okay... then I'm free to go right?" I asked her."Sure. It was nice meeting you." She answered as she stood up from where she sat, then stretched her hand for an handshake."Same here." I stood up with her and recieved the shake. After that, I picked up my purse and was about to leave when I suddenly remembered something.I stopped and turned back to face her."Is something wrong?" She asked me."No... not really... it's just that I didn't quite catch your name." I answered.After all these while, I just realized that she didn't tell me her name, I've only been referring to her as 'woman'. I needed something to use to find her if I ever come back here.From th
That goddess is a wolf?!I could tell because of the mark on her chest. Evey wolf here in Frostveil has it. It is like a tattoo that comes during birth and stays even after death.But I've never seen this woman before except in my dream that day. I thought she was the moon goddess because of how she glowed and how beautiful she was.Seeing her here in a morgue, I'm even more confused. Why would a wolf visit my dream when I don't even share a connection with her before. I thought a connection of some sort was needed for something like this to happen.I haven't heard of a case like this before."Do you know her?" Marcus asked me."Not really...""...but the look on your eyes, you've crossed paths with her before." He cut me off."Yeah..." I muttered as I moved closer to her, my eyes wandering around the stab wounds all over her body. They must have been the reason she's dead because she's far too young to be lying here."C
After Granny's arrival, I decided not to stay long at the hospital so they could have their time alone. Marcus came back in with Albert and he offered his greetings and sincere gratitude to Jenny before we left.On the way back home, I was silent. I just couldn't stop thinking about what Savannah had said. After several minutes, even Marcus noticed that something was wrong so he decided to ask."Is something wrong?" He asked as he moved his eyes to me for a moment before moving it back to the road."Uhmm.." I cleared my throat as my eyes darted over to him."...it's nothing." I lied."It sure doesn't seem like it. Did something happen at the hospital?" He asked again, worriedly.I wanted to tell him the truth about what I was thinking about but I decided to hold it back. I knew the only reason he did that was because he felt he was the one at fault for what happened to me.I know he didn't mean to do it; it didn't seem like he realize
