Chapter 2

From: Unknown Number

You drop your ID. Just tell me if you want to get it. I’m here inside Jollibee beside Sto. Rosario Parish.

Thank God! Someone saw it. I hurriedly replied before they would go.

To: Unknown Number

You’re my savior! Thank you! I’m just outside USC. Be there in a sec!

I hit the send button and hurriedly walked towards Jollibee. It was only on the other side of our school. The one that I and Kylie passed by a while ago.

I also texted Kylie that I was going to Jollibee to get my ID because someone found it. I crossed the lane quickly when the traffic light turned red stopping the vehicles on the road.

I got inside Jollibee and took my phone out of my pocket. I didn’t want to use my phone outside. I didn’t want my phone to get snatched in an instant.

To: 09507156***

I’m here. What are you wearing?

I was waiting for a reply when I saw someone waving a hand in my direction. I almost gasped when I saw who was waving at me. Shit! My crush was waving at me. Was he really waving at me? I looked at my back and there was no one there. I looked at him again and he was pointing at his phone this time. I look at my phone when it vibrated for a new message.

From: Unknown Number

I’m waving at you, Lady.

Shit! He was really waving at me! None other than my crush.

Josh!

He was at the table with a guy in front of him. So he found my ID? Maybe this was destiny? Shit! Shit! Composed yourself, Belle!

I smiled at him and started walking towards their table. I stopped at the back of the person who was in front of Josh who was currently eating Jolly spaghetti.

“Hi,” I said and then smiled sweetly at Josh.

“Hello. So you are  Annabelle?” he said looking at my ID in his hand. And then looked at me.

He really got it. I tried to stop myself from frowning. I really hate my name.

“Just call me Belle,” I said smiling.

“Here’s your ID. I’m Josh by the way.” He handed me my ID and I took it and put it in my bag. I needed to buy a new ID sling. I didn’t want to take a risk of dropping it again.

“Nice to meet you, Josh. So you are the one who found my ID?”

“Oh no! It’s not me who found it. It’s my friend here.” He pointed to the guy in front of him. I couldn’t see his face and he didn’t even turn to look at me. He was busy eating his spaghetti.

So that was more appetizing than me huh? Tsk!

“Oh! Thank you —“

“His name is Kristoff,” Josh said like he just read my mind.

“Thank you, Kristoff,” I said sweetly while smiling. The guy turned to me and my eyes widened seeing his face. My smile instantly faded.

Shit! He was the guy who bumped into me at the Sports Complex pool! He raised his brow to me and shook his head. “You’re welcome,” he said flatly.

How dare this guy! He ignored me at the sports complex and he also ignored me for jolly spaghetti!

“I’m done eating. Let’s go, dude.” The Kristoff guy stood up and started walking out of the Jollibee.

“We’ll go ahead, Belle. Nice meeting you.” He flashed a smile as he stood up in front of me.

“Okay. Thank you again. I owe both of you. I would like to treat you something but I guess you’re in a hurry?” This was my opportunity to know that guy. He was challenging. I looked at Josh. He was hot but Kristoff was way hotter. Sorry, Josh. I just decided to shift to Kristoff. I would get that guy no matter what.

“It’s Kristoff. He doesn’t want to be stuck in the traffic that’s why he is in a hurry. You know, rush hour.” He gave me an apologetic smile.

“Yeah.  I understand. Maybe next time? I really want to treat both of you.” He chuckled.

Just took my invitation, Josh! Damn it!

Damn it! Josh was such a waste. Should I just paired him off with my best friend so she could have her own love life too? I think that would be awesome.

“Okay. Sure. I’ll just text you. I got your number already.” So it was really his number. I wanted to frown.

It was Kristoff who saw my ID so he should be the one who should send me a text message, right? So why did Josh text me instead? He also asked him to return my ID. It should be him since he found it!

Okay! Maybe he didn’t have a load to text me.

At least you already got his name, Belle. That’s a start

“You better text me, Josh. I’ll save your number.” He chuckled again and then I heard his phone beep.

“I got to go Belle. Sorry. I think Kristoff is already mad outside. Damn! He even texted me to hurry up already.” He chortled. “Bye, Belle.” I just smiled at him as he walked out.

I looked outside and saw Kristoff with his phone in his hand while looking pissed.

It kinda helped to feel pissed too. He got a load and he even texted Josh!

Ignore me all you want. But I will make sure that you’ll fall into my hands. Because no one can resist Annabelle Vasquez!

I walked back to USC since Kylie texted me that she would just wait outside for me. And I just saw her holding a lot of books. I shook my head. She was so studious!

She saw me walking towards her and she gestured me to walk faster. I rolled my eyes at her and started to double my pace.

“Did you get your ID?” she asked right away when I got in front of him.

“Yep!” I said with a grin. Her brows furrowed and look at me suspiciously.

“Your smile is creeping me out. Who found your ID?”

“Kristoff.”

“Kristoff?”

“Yeah. Kristoff. I don’t know his last name. But. He is a friend of Josh.”

“Wow! Destiny?” She said sarcastically. I hissed at her.

“Well. I think so. I got a new crush. And that’s Kristoff. Josh is yours.” I giggled.

“What? Wow! That was fast! You uncrushed him for less than a week! Wow! That’s record-breaking!” I laughed at her reaction.

“He’s way hotter than Josh,” I said shrugging. She just shook her head to me like I’m being unbelievable. “Let’s go home?” I said to her as I help her carry some of the books that she is carrying.

“Thanks. Dad is going to fetch me. We’ll just drop you off at your house. You said your driver is on leave right?” She said as we started to walk.

“Yep! Thank you. You are really the best!” She just rolled her eyes at me as usual.
