Rockan

I told her I loved her.

There was no taking my words back, and it wasn’t that I regretted telling her. I told her the truth, but still, something felt off.

My chest ached with an unfamiliar heaviness that lingered throughout the night, pressing down on me like an unyielding weight.

Maybe it was the fear that gnawed at me, the realisation that Denera might choose her newfound family over me.

She had spent so long yearning for a connection, for blood relatives who would treat her with the love and respect she deserved. I could feel that desire radiating from her, a longing that I couldn’t compete with.

What if I forced her to follow me back home? The thought sent a chill down my spine. I could envision her resentment, the way her eyes might harden with disappointment.

“I don’t want that,” I muttered to myself, digging my fingers into my hair, and tugging at the roots in frustration.

I stood up from the bed, the rising sun casting a soft glow in the room, illuminating the shado

  • Her Revenge; Mated To The Faceless Alpha    A happy ending

DENARA’S POVThe fact that the beautiful, bouncing baby boy sleeping peacefully in the crib beside me was my son—my own pup—still felt like a dream I hadn’t fully woken up from. I kept staring at him, waiting for reality to come and rip the moment away. But it didn’t. He was here. He was mine. Ours.I had a child. I was a mother. And I never even knew I was pregnant.I mean, how?I’d always imagined pregnancy would be a slow and beautiful process—baby bump pictures, mood swings, Rockan rubbing cocoa butter on my belly, Rachel teasing me about waddling like a duck. I’d made videos in my head, visualized cravings and swollen feet. I dreamt of that glowing mama look everyone talked about. But I guess the goddess had other plans—possibly laughing when I was busy fantasizing.“But why didn’t I notice anything?” Rachel asked, frowning with that deep-knitted concern she always wore when something didn’t add up. “I’m always with the Luna. I can’t remember her having morning sickness or… anyth

  • Her Revenge; Mated To The Faceless Alpha    A miracle…our miracle

ROCKAN’S POVIt still felt surreal. No, scratch that—it felt divine. There I was, holding my baby. My son. Our pup. Flesh of my flesh. The little miracle the goddess gifted to me and my mate. It was a moment I had played out in my head so many times, but now that it was real, I didn’t know what to do with all the emotions flooding me. I was a father. A real father.“Rockan…” Denara’s soft voice pulled me out of my daze. “Is that… is that my baby? Our baby?” Her voice cracked at the last word, and a single tear trailed down her cheek.I smiled, though my throat was tight. “Yes, little mate. I know you still can’t believe it, because I can’t either.”“I can believe it, darling,” my grandmother chimed in, her tone warm and amused. “The goddess still does wonders.”For a split second, I’d forgotten that we weren’t alone. My entire family was there. Tyris and Eva. Grandpa and Grandma. Rachel. And now this tiny creature, wrapped in soft blankets, who had redefined my entire world.Every on

  • Her Revenge; Mated To The Faceless Alpha    Very much unexpected

DENARA’S POVAfter the unexpectedly chaotic but fun breakfast, we were all ready to get on with our day—but Granny Yeneva had other plans. She insisted that Eva and I take our baths and return to her for what she called a "girls-only time-out get-together." And honestly, I was up for it. The thought of bonding with her over sweet tea, stories, and whatever ancient wisdom she wanted to throw at us sounded like a warm balm to the soul. But apparently, not everyone thought it was a great idea.“Grandma,” Tyris said carefully, “I think you and Denara should do the girl thing together because the doctor said Eva needs more rest.”Granny Yeneva turned sharply, squinting at him as though he’d grown horns. “So I’m taking them to the farm to work our asses off, right? Or you think we’re going to hunt elephants?”Her sarcasm sliced the air like a whip.“I’m sorry, Grandma, I didn’t mean it that way,” Tyris quickly replied, sounding guilty.I should’ve felt bad about his remark. I really should’

  • Her Revenge; Mated To The Faceless Alpha    Genuinely happy

DENARA’S POVI felt a kiss on my forehead, soft and warm — followed by another, and then another. I stirred slowly, eyelids fluttering open to the sight that never failed to melt me.Rockan.My mate.He was watching me again like I was the rarest jewel in the goddess’s entire creation. That same look — the one that always undid me. His eyes held that quiet fire, the one that burned only for me, and somehow, still managed to surprise me every time.I tried to suppress the smile tugging at my lips, but the moment he kissed me again — slower this time, more deliberate — I gave in. A laugh slipped out of me, soft at first, then rolling out louder as I buried my face in the crook of his neck.“It’s too early, Rockan,” I mumbled through a smile, my voice thick with sleep.“I know,” he whispered, brushing a stray curl off my forehead. “But your charm isn’t something I can ever resist.”“You wish,” I muttered, chuckling, eyes still half-shut.He leaned his forehead against mine, voice lower n

  • Her Revenge; Mated To The Faceless Alpha    Our hardships

ROCKAN’S POVIt had been almost a year since Tyris’ mating ceremony.Eva was heavily pregnant now — her belly round and glowing, her skin radiant with the blessing the moon goddess had placed in her womb. Their home was filled with laughter, the anticipation of new life, and the joy of fulfillment. And though I was happy for my brother, every time I looked at Denara, my chest twisted in a knot I couldn’t undo. She had no signs. No pregnancy. No swelling belly. No glowing skin. And while no one dared say it to her face — or to mine — I’d heard enough to know what was being whispered behind closed doors and under shallow breaths. The same mouths that once praised her strength during the Bruno ordeal now questioned her womanhood. They questioned her truth. They called her a liar. They said she was never pregnant. That she made it all up to gain sympathy. It was 4:23 a.m. when I turned on the bed and found her still awake. She was lying on her side, stiff, eyes open, staring at the ceilin

  • Her Revenge; Mated To The Faceless Alpha    An everlasting bond

TYRIS’S POVIt was finally here. The day I’d dreamed of — maybe not since birth, but from the moment Denara made me realize what it meant to have a fated mate, about that soul-deep bond that only the goddess could craft. I used to scoff at it, at love, at fate, at the goddess and everything she did to torment my existence. But then Eva happened. And suddenly, scoffing didn’t come so easy. Now, my heart was thundering like war drums. The entire pack and a few dignitaries from other packs had gathered, dressed in shades of gold and earth, drums echoing softly in the background like the heartbeat of the land itself. The scent of burning sage floated through the air, mixing with the sharp sweetness of ceremonial wine.Rockan and Denara stood beside me… my only family, before Eva arrived. Our pack. My sanity.”“You look like you’re about to faint,” Denara teased, her eyes dancing with mischief.Rockan didn’t miss a beat. “How the bloody fuck is the almighty Lord Tyris so nervous?” he scof
