I walked down the stairs, I could hear my father’s laughter. As miguel made a somewhat joke about his first kill. As I said before, vicious. Killing made a wolf like him excited. It brought him joy, just as it bought my parent’s joy.
“Oh here she comes.” Said Louise.
Miguel stood up quickly, with his eyes fixed on me. My father seemed proud to see me. While my silly sister clapped her hands excitedly as if she was a five year old. Our guest walked up to me then offered me a seat.
“Thanks.” I said.
“Your welcome.”
“Miguel here was telling us about his first kill. Did you know that he killed his first prey at just three years old of age.” Said Gilbert.
“Oh really?” I asked, annoyed.
It was obvious that Miguel was only trying to impress my parents.
“Believe it or not but I was a killer from my mother’s womb.” Said Miguel, boldly.
“You speak as it is a talent.” I said.
“I have many talents, killing is just one of my best.”
“Ooh.” Monica hissed.
“What do you do by profession Miguel? We want our daughter to be in the best hands.” Louise asked.
“I own different companies. Multinational to be exact.”
“What kind of companies?”
“Ones that manufacture cars, planes. I even own clubs, one is also in LA. I have also opened at least two schools for werewolves. One is located in Africa, the other one is in the UK.”
Both my parent’s smiled.
“It seems our daughter is in perfect hands then.” Said Gilbert.
“Yes, indeed she is.”
“Then I guess we should expect a wedding soon.” said Louise.
“Of course but I would like to hear what your lovely daughter has to say about this.”
I was startled. Vicious yet ready to hear my opinion.
“I think that I should get to know you better first before we uhm become mates.” I said.
Both my parent’s had a disappointed look in their eyes.
“What is there to know dear. He is wealthy and handsome.” said Louise.
“Vicious and strong.” Gilbert added.
“Smart and confident.” Said Monica.
Miguel chuckled.
“I agree with Zelda. I think it will be much better if she got to know me first. I have a large room where she could stay. I will sleep in the other room. I must admit, I am a very busy wolf. I am mostly free during the night but I will make exceptions during the day only for you. Show you the real me. How is that?” He asked.
I smiled.
“I could work with that.” I said.
My parent’s smiled.
“I will get your bags.” Said Monica.
“NO! I mean that I will get them myself. Just sit.”
I stood up from my chair, hoping not top embarrass myself in front of the guest. However my sister was enough embarrassment. She followed behind me giggling. I wanted to slap her right there but I maintained my peace.
My clothes were already packed, i grabbed the bag from the bed. My sister entered the room.
"Why did you follow me?" I asked.
"I just wanted to say something."
"What's that?"
"Can you ask if Miguel has any hot friend's. I want to be matched too." Monica whispered.
I chuckled.
"I don't think he has good friends. He is too vicious. Even for my own liking."
"But he seems to like you."
"Don't confuse lust with love. I better go now. I will call you."
Monica offered me a hug, a tight one. I felt most pleased.
My parents were excited to see me with bags in my hand's. Miguel rushed over to me.
"Can I carry these for you?" He said, as if the bags were heavy.
"Alright."
He grabbed both bag's and placed them carefully in the boot of his red convertible.
I waved my family goodbye, I could see my mother wiping away her tears of joy from her face. It was embarrassing.
The drive took about an hour till we finally arrived at the desired destination. It was a quiet drive. No one uttered any word between us. I could see a house with many glass doors and a long pool. The trees were perfectly trimmed and very tall in height. They were arranged in different leaf colour. The ones on the left had green leaves, the one in the middle had pink leaves and the one on the right had white leaves. The entrance was paved with brown cement bricks, with a rusty like color. On the side of each paving were white and black concrete rocks. Arranged in a square shape. In between each square was a small round light enforced to the ground. It made such beautiful decoration.
Miguel parked his car, while his gate closed automatically. A gentleman with a black blazer and white straight trouser rushed to assist us with the bags.
"Thank you Thorne." said Miguel.
"Pleasure Sir and welcome to the residence my lady." Said the nice man
I simply smiled. What more could I say.
When I stepped into the house, the housemaid immediately rushed over me and offered to take Miguel's jacket.
"Welcome my lady. I hope you find the stay here comfortable. If you ever need anything, simply press #5 on the phone in your room. I will attend all your needs." Said the maid. "By the way my name is Cecilia." She added.
I exchanged greetings with the maid.
"Is there food ready?" Miguel asked.
"Of course Sir. I will set the table immediately."
"I am full." I said.
"Are you certain?" Miguel asked.
I nodded.
"Then Cecilia will show you around the house."
The maid did as she was instructed. The house had Chinese like furniture, while the lights were from India. The bathroom was In an Italian styling.
"And this will be your bedroom." Said Cecilia.
"Thank you very much for the tour."
"Your welcome. If you ever need anything, please dial that number I told you about."
When the maid had moved away from me, I
Chapter 3When the maid had moved away from me, I sighed in relief. I could not wait any longer. I threw myself on top of the bed. I took a nap for at least 5 minutes before someone knocked on my door. I was irritated as hell. "Oh its you." I said. Miguel smiled. "I just disturbed you, didn't I?" "Kind of." "What can I do to make it up to you?" "Let's see. I don't have any ideas for now." "I have an idea." Miguel walked toward me. My heart pounded fast as he ran his fingers through my hair. "Your hair needs more conditioner." He said. I chuckled. He then stood there with his eyes fixed on me. "Thorne will take you to a beauty parlour tomorrow morning." "Oh. Okay." "If you are feeling hungry, you know who to dial. I will be in my office, working on some paperwork. I'll check on you again later." I nodded. Miguel leaned closer then sniffed me on the neck. "Pink Rose. Is that your favourite odor?" He asked. I blinked twice. "Yes it is." "Do you want to use it forever
The garden was indeed garden like. The trees were tall, daisies as well as orchids were arranged in a diagonal line as if luring one to enter. The more you entered the more the shape changed into a more curved linear shape. It was beautiful. The grass was perfectly trimmed, the colour was a bright green. I saw Miguel sitting on a cherry wood bench. He smiled slightly when he saw me.“I heard you were calling for me.” I said. “Is that your best greeting?” “Oh I am sorry. Hello.” “Hello to you too.”“How are you?” “I am quite well and yourself?” “I am alright, I guess.” “Why do you guess?”“No, its nothing. I just..” Miguel eyed me for a while. “Speak up. I wont kill you.” I chuckled. “Its nothing really.” “You refuse to tell me the entire truth about yourself.” “The is no truth to tell.” “What are you hiding Miss?”“Nothing.” “Alright then. I will trust on your words.” “Please do.”Miguel stood from his chair, then walked up to me. He leaned closer and ran his fingers t
“I am sorry, but can I ask what happened between the two of you. Why did you separate?” “We didn’t plan to. She was supposed to be my forever mate. But unfortunately she died.” “Oh I am really sorry.” “Well. I was always vicious but she had a way into my soul. I mean I was horrible beyond compare. Killing was the only thing I could meditate upon. I was even hired many times to kill politicians for millions of dollars by the state itself.” I was startled. “And Sofia how did she help you become better?” “She loved me unconditionally and I loved her too.” I sighed in relief. The heartless was not completely heartless, I thought. “Then why did you leave her?” “I didn’t. She was taken away from me in cold blood.” I covered my mouth in shock. “Who killed her?” I asked. “She was returning back from work when a group of homeless humans began to harass her on the streets. And when she tried to defend herself they stabbed her to death. She lost her life and I lost my joy." "Is tha
Zelda contemplated paying a visit to Sasha. Her goal was to utilize her residence as a training ground, given its possession of an intricate obstacle course. Thorne started the car, and began to drive the lunar till he arrived at Sasha's mansion. Zelda was stunned at how beautiful and spacious the yard was. Even though it didn't have many plants, it was quite neat. The outdoor pavement was that of sandstone painted in black, the path to the main door was paved with grey marble. "Please call me when you need me to pick you up." Said Thorne. "But what if she is not even at the house?" "Madam Torres is here, she will open the door you'll see." "Will she even like me?" "Who wouldn't like such an angel like you?" Zelda stepped out of the car slowly yet filled with doubt. The main entrance door did open. Thorne waved her goodbye then drove off. The lunar reached the door and didn't even have to knock as the middle aged woman stood there and looked straight at her. "Oh a
Miguel returned to the house. Sasha began to impart wisdom to her son. "You know I couldn't help but hear your argument with Zelda." "I shouldn't have slapped her." "This family doesn't need any weak wolves. That slap was a warning but if you truly want to make Zelda listen you will have to use force." "What did you want me to do, scratch her make her bleed?" Miguel asked in annoyance. "Being part of our formidable lineage, we cannot afford to exhibit any signs of weakness. We come from a fierce and relentless bloodline, and it is crucial that Zelda develops the strength to match our family's reputation. We cannot allow any weakness to permeate our pack." Miguel listened intently, his mind grappling with conflicting thoughts. "I hear you well. But will beating her make her love me or will she hate me?" "It will make her strong. And one day she will appreciate what you did for her." "Mother, I understand the importance of strength, but do we truly have to be violent? Can
Gilbert was seething with anger as he witnessed the pain in his daughter's eyes. His paternal instincts flared, protective fury fueling his emotions. He couldn't fathom the pain Zelda had endured at the hands of Miguel, and his heart filled with an overwhelming sense of disappointment. Approaching his daughter with a mix of concern and determination, Gilbert gently took her hand and led her to a quiet corner of their home. He wanted to understand what had transpired and how best to support his daughter. "My dear you haven't eaten ever since you came back. I can see that something is wrong, what has happened? Did Miguel do this to you?" Zelda, her voice shaky, recounted the events that had unfolded, her pain and vulnerability laid bare before her father. Tears welled up in Gilbert's eyes as he listened, his anger simmering beneath the surface. "A slap is offensive but it shouldn't be the reason you have to now separate with your mate." "Father, that slap just shows how much Miguel
At the High End hotel. "Seeing you again, just made my entire day." Said Chris. Zelda smiled. "I hope Monica told you I have been matched." "Yes she did. But she also told me you're unhappy." Zelda sighed. Chris grab her by the hand. "Come, you can sit here on the bed. I won't do anything you don't want me to." The lunar did as asked. Tears in her eyes. "I don't know. I just. Its hard." She said. "Every relationship is. Did he hurt you?" "He just surprised me." "What's his name?" "Didn't Monica tell you?" "She said to ask you instead." Zelda chuckled. "He's Miguel Torres." "The one whose wealthy and vicious. Sasha's son?" "So you've heard about him?" "Yes. Why would you.." Zelda felt a sudden annoyance. "Please, stop talking about those people otherwise I'll leave." She said. "Oh I'm sorry." Chris offered Zelda a hug, his scent brought memories to the lunar. She felt a sense of calmness and protection. She enjoyed the scent. She began to pul
The news of Zelda with Miguel did not sit well with Chris. Sleeping became difficult. His jealousy was aroused, his blood hot and raging. He wanted to prove himself as the better mate for Zelda but because of his past quarrel with Louise he knew it would be a difficult war to win. He's return to Bellini did not prove to make much of a difference. He still longed to see Zelda. And so he decided it would be much better if he sent her a necklace to apologise for the disagreement he had with the lunar at the High End hotel. But before spending any money, he needed a little advice, his colleague Dawn was a werewolf who knew jewellery well. "We've been in three store's already, what kind of necklace are you looking for exactly?" "One with many diamonds on it." "How many carats?" Chris rolled his eye's. "No. I just want the diamonds arranged closely on the necklace." Dawn laughed. "Why didn't you say so?" She asked. "I thought looking around a few stores, would help me in fin
