CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Adrian smiled at the maitre d when he arrived at Delight restaurant. It was an upscale restaurant that he often used for his dates, he had taken a lot of women to the restaurant. He headed towards his usual spot and he saw Chiara already sitted at the table. He noticed the purple jumpsuit and the black boots she was wearing.

"Good evening, Chiara." He pulled out the chair opposite her and sat down.

"You are late." She said in a flat voice. She looked at him and he noticed that her face was make-up free and her jumpsuit was a little creased like she had been wearing it all day. It was obvious that she did not dress to impress him yet she looked beautiful, even more beautiful than many of the women he had been with.

"I had a last minute business." He unbottened his suit jacket and leaned forward, placing his elbows on the table.

"I did not ask for an explanation. I am just letting you know that I do not tolerate lateness." She said i
