C H A P T E R 58 - Sam.

Just as I had been expecting, I was nothing short of being exhausted when I woke up the next morning. Every fibre of my being screamt at me for staying awake as late as I had last night, and my encounter with Jace hadn't helped one bit. On the contrary, I believed that it had kept me awake for much longer than I would have been. Maybe I was wrong, but I did not think that I was. But there was no use in crying over spilt milk. It wouldn't get me anywere. I just needed to focus on making it through the day and then take it from there.

Maybe if I was lucky, I would be able to take a nap, but I knew that that was something that I would not be able to bank on just yet. I would need to use my energy sparingly because if I was burnt out by the time that lunchtime rolled around, I wouldn't even manage with the walk home.
