“I cannot believe you didn’t get the flag,” Kelvin said.
“Shut up,” Leila mumbled, walking ahead of him to the car.
She slammed the door close, glaring at her husband who doubled over in laughter. It wasn’t her fault the leader of the opposing team snuck up on her and shot her. She had been so close to the flag. Leila flipped her husband the middle finger. She was sure now that Kelvin came there to seduce her. He deliberately distracted her.
Kelvin joined her inside the car. She didn’t give him a chance to talk before saying, “I don’t want to hear it.”
“Loser,” he muttered. “You betrayed your husband for nothing. One shot to the chest without remorse. I’m disappointed in you.”

Leila’s heart shattered. She was just as stunned as Kelvin but she recovered faster. She cleared her throat and stepped forward with a hand stretched for a handshake.“Hi, mum.
