It hurt. It hurt too much.
Kelvin couldn’t describe the pain effectively but all he knew was that he wanted it to end. If this was a phase, it was taking too long to pass. Leila was silent in the car as they drove back home. He knew what she had gone to get. He had seen it when she dropped it on her lap. A pregnancy kit. She was only setting herself up for more pain and heartbreak but he didn’t know how to stop her.
