7 - In the Elevator.

The next morning, Isis was up as early as 5:30 AM. In fact, she almost didn't sleep overnight as she frequently woke up in the midnight to check the time. Despite the way her discussion ended with her new boss the day before, she was pretty determined that she was going to do better the following day, which is now today.

She made sure to do all the house chores before Pheonix woke up. Judging by the mood Pheonix was as at last night, she didn't want to do anything that would stress her or her pregnancy. She was quite sure Pheonix would do the same for her anyway.

As soon as she was done with the chores, she went ahead to prepare for work. By 7:30 AM, she was ready to leave for work. This time, she made sure to not put on any tight-fitting clothes, so it wouldn't arouse anything in the presence of her boss, and so that the same occurrence wouldn't repeat itself. This time around, she wore a shirt and made sure to button up all her buttons, then she went ahead to wear a more loose and freer skirt than the one she wore the day before.

By the time she was ready to leave, Pheonix still wasn't up. She decided to write down a note to her, then she dropped it on the kitchen slab and placed a cup on it, knowing fully well she would want to go to the kitchen to get food, then she'd see her note.

Now set for work, she left with a taxi. She could have ordered an uber, but she was avoiding anything that would make her late to work that day. She assumed it was probably because of her lateness that her new boss was able to push such a dirty offer towards her, making him think she was an unserious and lazy type, who'd prefer to use her body to make money rather than work diligently for it.

The thought of it made her roll her eyes as a look of digust appeared on her face as she thought about Omarion's face when he spoke to her the day before. "Even my lateness still doesn't give him the audacity to push such an offer to me. Such an insane man he is," she muttered to herself.

The driver could hear her mutter something, and since there was no one else in the car with her except him, he assumed she was speaking to her. "Sorry, ma'am,  but I didn't grab what you just said," he responded.

Isis turned to look at him from the back seat. "Oh, no, no. I wasn't talking to you." The driver nodded and the ride continued.

By 7:55 AM, she was already at the company. A huge smile appeared on her face as she walked into the company, knowing fully well that she was early this time and no one dared to call her miss tardiness.

After greeting the receptionist, she headed towards the one elevator that led directly to the boss' office and his office alone. Pressing the button, it opened and she stepped in. Just as it was about to close, someone also stepped in with her, then the elevator door closed.

Her pen fell on the floor as the elevator moved, so she bent down to pick it up. As she stood up and tried to greet the person next to her, whom she assumed was also a fellow worker, her words got stuck in her mouth as she recognized the person standing beside her. It was her boss, Omarion, carrying a briefcase.

"Uhm… good morning, sir," she quickly muttered when she found her voice again, and bowed her head a little, as a sign of respect to her boss. She wasn't in the right state of mind or mood to start a conversation with him, however, she couldn't just stand there next to him withour greeting him. She wouldn't want anything to jeopardize her chances of getting her employment letter that morning.

Omarion, who had seen her right before she stepped into the elevator, because he was coming directly behind her, with just a few steps away, didn't bother to look to her side, since he already knew who it was.

As usual, his face was stern and he wasn't a bit smiling. But despite looking serious, he still looked extremely gorgeous. Even Isis couldn't help but notice that as she looked up at him beside her.

"You looked so much better in the tight straight skirt from yesterday than what you're on right now," he said to her without facing her. Instantly, she grew self conscious and she felt a bit uncomfortable by what he said. However, she wondered if that was supposed to be a compliment or an insult. "And why are you here?" He added, bringing her back from her thoughts.

"Uhm… I… I err…" Her voice trailed off as she thought of what to say. It wasn't like she didn't know why she was there, she knew it, but she didn't want to say anything wrong. She made sure to not do anything wrong to piss him off that morning, so she decided to be silent instead.

"I thought so too," he replied. For the first time that morning, he turned to look at her with side eyes, and said to her. "Seeing you back here this morning means just one thing, and I believe you know what it is." He raised an eyebrow at her, as she stared at him intently.

"No," she shook her head gently. She did know where he was going, but she still low-key hoped he wouldn't bring it up again.

Just as he was about to reply, the elevator stopped, and the door opened. Two female workers were outside the elevator, about to step in, but immediately they saw their boss, they greeted him and instantly shifted to the next one.

Isis saw this as an opportunity to walk out, but she knew it was of no use, since she was still going to see him in his office. However, she had a rethought and decied to walk out, since it'll save her the anxiety and stress of having the sex buddy conversation with him at that moment.

Just as she was about to step out, Omarion quickly moved his briefcase from his right hand to his left hand, then dragged Isis back into the elevator. Before she could say or do anything, he released her hand and clicked on another button and the elevator door closed.

Isis shot him a deadly glare instantly, pissed about the way she was dragged in against her will and without her knowing. "What the heck wad that?!" She raised her voice at him slightly.

"Have you made your decision?" Even in the heat of the moment, Omarion still sounded extremely calm. One would think he was never bothered about anything.

"About what?!" Isis shot back at him in frustration.

"Have you agreed to being my sex buddy?" He asked hed point blank, loud and clear, like it was a normal thing a boss should be telling his worker.

Isis’s face drew into a frown and her fist tightened. She was now very pissed, but she knew she couldn't do anything, so she tried to hide her anger. It was hard to do it, but she just had to. Knowing fully well that if she tried to say anything to Omarion as a reply, she might end up insulting him, she simply shook her head to tell him no.

"Excuse me?" He raised an eyebrow at her as he looked at her with a deadly stare. He had assumed that her return only meant that she was ready to do what he asked her to, and now that she was still giving him the same answer, he was beginning to get angry. He was getting extremely impatient. "What did you just say?"

Isis shook her head in the negative affirmation, once again and almost immediately, Omarion yelled at her. "Use yoir fucking words!"

Isis was taken aback and shocked at his expression. She looked away in fear before replying him. "I stand on my response. No, I will not be a sex slave for some—"

Unable to control his anger anymore, Omarion punched the elevator button to shut her up, because he was in no mood to listen to the rest of her reply. The elevator opened and he stormed out of it, but not after commanding her to meet him in his office now.

As he stormed to his office, Isis scurried behind him. When he entered his secretary's office, which led to his, Rachel was on her seat, but on sighting him approaching, she got up quickly to welcome him.

"Welcome, sir," she smiled to him sheepishly and adjusted her gown in a way to show her cleavage more. Confident that it would now be open enough for him to see, she continued speaking with a seductive smile on her face. "I hope you had—"

"Now is not the time, Rachel," he growled as he walked past her into his office and slammed the door shut behind him. Her smile turned into a frown instantly as she wondered what was happening. Just as she turned to go have her seat, Isis rushed in and without greeting her, she rushed into Omarion's office before Rachel could stop her, and shut the door behind her.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going?!" Rachel yelled after her in anger. She rushed to Omarion's office door to open it, but she was unable to. It had been locked from inside. She groaned in anger, assuming there was something else going on there. Pissed by the thought of that, she hissed and returned to her seat.

As soon as Isis entered Omarion's office, she locked the door from inside, knowing fully well that Rachel would try to follow her. She then walked to Omarion's desk.

All through her walk to his office, she was silently praying that things wouldn't go wrong once again, seeing how pissed she had made Omarion. So, as shs got to his desk, she wanted to apologize. "I didn't mean to—"

She was cut short by Omarion, who angrily threw a folded paper on his desk to her. "Sign the fucking thing," he ordered her.

Confused as to what was going on, Isis picked the letter to see what it was all about, but her eyes widened in shock as she saw what was boldly written on the back.

Resignation Letter.
